[holo] Not quite what I had in mind

The man with bleached-platinum, gelled-back hair blinked slowly as the device turned on. This wasn’t his free junker of a car, and it certainly wasn’t southern California. He looked around cautiously, wondering if maybe he’d drunk too much and actually managed to pass out- but seeing as this obviously wasn't a bar either, he doubted it. What he saw, he didn’t completely recognize, but the silver walls and featureless aspect of the room...well, that he was more familiar with.

“Bloody hell,” he said under his breath, checking himself over. It only took a moment for him to notice the bracelet, and one more to notice that it wasn’t coming off. “Bloody hell,” he repeated, more loudly. “Not this sodding thing again.”

He looked up at the ceiling, where he assumed the cameras would be. “Look, I don’t know what clever antics you think you’re pulling, but I didn’t just go through Hell to get stuck in your shiny new vampire testing facility. And I don’t fancy your little med-alert accessory, either. So as much time and effort as it must have taken to drop me here? Thanks, but no thanks.”

He ignored the little gadget entirely and strode to the door, with more bluster than he felt. After surviving Hell and checking to make sure everything in Los Angeles was situated, he really just wanted to go find a bar and enjoy himself for a few days, somewhere far away from Angel and Illyria and the fate of the world. He deserved a vacation, not this mess.

He was unsurprised when the door wouldn’t open, but he banged on it anyway. “You hear me, you tossers?! I’ll find a way out of here! I’ve led revolts in joints classier than this!”
