1 [Holo-Location: Sanctuary]
All he did was blink, how could everything have changed so drastically? Daniel blinked again, hoping despite himself that he’d only imagined he’d seen a metal room with him standing on a platform. No luck. He glanced around, warily, before calling out.
“Thor?” Surely it had to have been the Asgard’s transporting beam, right? Except without the flash of white.
“Jack?” He tried again. Despite the fact Jack hadn’t been on the Prometheus with him, weird things tended to happen when Jack was involved, so it was generally a safe bet to assume he had something to do with this. Still nothing. He gave a sigh, reaching a hand up to ruffle his hair.
“This isn’t funny, guys.”
Only then did he look up and spy a rather odd and unusual device.
“..Okay, definitely not Asgard.”
Feeling a strange weight on his wrist, he sent an enquiring glance at it, only to do a double-take. What the heck was on his wrist? It didn’t hurt, despite the fact the metal seemed to be fused to his skin.
“Oh that can’t be good..”
He also noticed at that point the pedestal standing next to him. Was something wrong with his sight that he’d not noticed that? He stared at the tablet resting on top of the pedestal, the metal bracelet attached to him temporarily forgotten as he walked carefully around it before reaching out and picking the tablet up. Then he glanced around again.
“Jack?” Silence. “Isn’t someone going to say I shouldn’t have done that?”
This was getting tiresome, and he was starting to feel even more uneasy. He stared back down at the tablet, if only so he wouldn’t be looking around the large room anymore and see no one. Without really expecting anything to happen, he tried to open the tablet, finding it flipped open quite easily, as if it were a cell phone. He sighed again, glancing around once more despite himself.
“Jack, I know you have to be there. I get that you must be laughing your socks off, but this really isn’t funny.”

[Visual]
He kept listening, wondering if that was a tram he was hearing. He peered at Jack's image, as if he expected to be able to see if he was right or not.
"Well..The Ori-you'll come to know all about them later-started building a Supergate, we tried to destroy it. Vala managed to get aboard a scout ship and disrupted the Supergate causing it to explode. As far as I could tell, and Sam was just able to tell that a matter stream was sucked into the Supergate before the event horizon dissipated. And then I was here."
[Visual]
There are more sounds of travel, then he remembers something, "Oh, and the tablet thingie... supposed to show my location on it. Not that I trust that thing," The little blip that is Jack is headed in his direction.
"Still got no idea what brought us here or who," his voice grows more serious, he really, really doesn't like being trapped.
[Visual]
He was still looking over the tablet, so his image was likely to not be as smooth as it had been. At the mention of it, he straightened it so he could peer at the map. "Huh..Anyway to turn it off?"
Daniel wasn't any happier at the idea of being trapped anywhere than Jack was, and really didn't like the fact Jack didn't even have an idea of who was behind everything.
Re: [Visual]
About the map he comments, "You're asking the wrong guy, Daniel. Hardly use the thing." He has his patrol maps, he doesn't trust anything that could easily be altered by whoever brought them here.
He apparently passed a familiar landmark then announced, "Be there in five."
[Visual]
He rolled his eyes sarcastically at Jack's image. "Riight, I'll let you know when I figure it out then." Or maybe he wouldn't, he kind of liked the idea that all he had to do to find out where Jack was would be to look on the tablet.
"I'll be here." He returned, a bit flippantly.
[Visual]/[Location: Sanctuary]
"You do that, Daniel," he goes relatively silent for the next few minutes as he makes his way over. His visual soon going black as he apparently shoved the thing in a pocket. Audio still transmitted as evident by the sounds of footsteps. He's really bad about turning it off when he's done.
What he did with the tablet becomes less important as he reached the Sanctuary and entered, "Helloo...?"
[Location: Sanctuary]
Hearing the call, he fiddled with the tablet, managing to turn it off-or so he thought-after a couple minutes. Standing up, he started walking towards where Jack's voice seemed to be coming from.
Coming within view, he gave a small wave.

As hard as Jack is to read sometimes, he is very very happy at this moment. It's like Daniel coming back from the dead all over again.
no subject
"Uhm.." His eyes darted about a bit, almost frantically as he tried to decide just how to answer that. Yes, he had missed Jack. But he wasn't about to say so.
"Well..No one had to die this time." He simply settled on that, giving a small shrug as he let Jack figure it out from there. Which, knowing Jack, was hit or miss on him actually getting the real message.
no subject
"So. You got no memory of this place and from the sounds of it... I'm guessing different time period?" That's right, Jack can be smart if he feels like it. Being in Taxon this long has made him think of everything in when someone was from.
And regardless if Daniel wants one or not. He's getting a hug. It's hard to stop Jack when he feels like hugging.
no subject
Would Daniel really stop Jack from hugging when said general, or colonel, was in the hugging mood? No, he wasn't that stupid. It failed every time before, so why would this time be any different? Not that he really wanted to try. What more could he do but awkwardly return it?

He took a step back and looked around, "So, how about we get outta here?"
no subject
"Yeah..That's not happened for me..yet.." He blinked, thinking that made sense but really, one never completely knew with him.
"Lead the way."
no subject
He turned to lead him out into the street. Once there he took a look around, "So. Where to? The Mountain showed up south of here, near the city wall. My cabin showed up on the west side. I'm just guessin' but..." he glanced over Daniel for a second, "Some place of yours probably showed up too."
no subject
"..Following that reasoning, yeah. But how'd you figure out where your cabin is?" He didn't quite want to think of what might have followed him, with his luck, something from Abydos had appeared. And he doubted he'd have to look all over the city just to find it, though he'd be wandering around at some point anyway, just so he knew what was there.
no subject
Knowing Daniel's history, Jack personally hoped it was just Daniel's apartment or something like that that came with him. He let out a sigh and gestured to the city, "This is it. Far as we can tell... the sky isn't real," he looked up at it with a squint.
no subject
"Not much to patrol, is it?"
no subject
"I don't like being trapped here, Daniel," as if he needed to tell him, "No matter how 'nice' it is."
no subject
"It never does matter how nice a place is if you know you can't easily leave.."
