Daniel stared at Jack, more than a little bewildered by the hair ruffle. The bewilderment only escalated when he saw Vala's expression.

He couldn't, however, ignore her sarcastic words. "As if you had nothing to do with it. Or had you forgotten those bracelets you found and bond us together?"

He should probably learn better when to keep his tone neutral around Vala. She had, after all, come to make sure he was okay-despite whatever reason she'd been avoiding him.
