[Location: Fangtasia then Hack Residence]
Because walking is good for you, Cassie headed out into the city for a while. Hands shoved into the pockets of her hoodie, Cassie wandered, trying to avoid the areas where she remembered slaughtering people. As she was in the general area of Eric's vampire bar, she frowned, stopping for a moment. A tentative sniff was followed by a deeper one. Smoke. Something was on fire. Cassie scanned the rooftops, seeing the plume of smoke heading towards the artificial sky. Rushing in that direction, Cassie found the building that the map had entitled as 'Fangtasia'. Her heart froze in her chest at the sight of flames licking up the sides of the building, as if fueled by something other than gasoline.
"Oh my god!" Cassie exclaimed, rushing towards the entrance, the fire having destroyed the small red canopy that protruded overhead. She stopped short, seeing that the door had been ripped off its hinges. A small explosion from within, more than likely caused by alcohol, sent a wave of smoke and flames towards Cassie. She stumbled back, coughing hard to get the smoke from her lungs.
Panic held a tight grip on Cassie's chest. She didn't know who had been in the bar at the time of the...it had to be an attack. She hoped it wasn't. Whoever it was, they'd gotten out. Unless another explosion had caused the door to rip off like that. Cassie's no arson investigator-type person. She's just going on guesses and bad feelings. And she's not liking any of this. "Oh, god...." Cassie whispered, hugging herself gently, thinking the worst.

But that could be addressed later. For now, there were more immediate matters to deal with. The club was a loss and there was no telling if the nest had also been targeted. They needed to locate Pam, and they needed a safe place to rest.
He was distracted from his thoughts by the sound of human footsteps and the beating of a human heart. He moved silently around the side of the burning building, giving the flames a large berth.
"Cassie?" He hadn't expected to see her here. If he had, he might have at least attempted to clean the blood off of his face in an effort to look a bit less frightening.
[location: fangtasia]
Of course, none of that would have stopped him from following Godric had he not known exactly who it was he was going to meet.
"At least bring her back here before she chokes to death," he called out conversationally.
[location: fangtasia]
Awkward.
"God, I was so scared. Are you okay? Is Eric? Pam?" Cassie asked, holding on tightly for a moment.
[location: fangtasia]
"I'm fine, as are Eric and Pam." Eric would have sensed if anything had happened to Pam.
"Come away from the fire." He pulled out of the embrace to lead her to where Eric was sitting, mindful of Eric's mocking warning. Smoke inhalation was bad for humans.
[location: fangtasia]
"Your concern is touching, little breather," he said as they both came closer, a wry little grin on his face. "It's making me all warm inside. Of course, that could be from the fire."
[location: fangtasia]
Cassie followed Godric to where Eric was and relief swept over her once more. At his little grin and quip, Cassie frowns, walking over to the blonde and punches him in the arm. "It's not funny when people show concern, Dracula."

[location: fangtasia]
And don't start on Eric's massive fanboy status, thank you very much.
[location: fangtasia]
Cassie took a small step back as Eric rose, feeling a small stab of guilt. When he was standing, she moved forward, wrapping her arms around his waist, giving him a quick hug. She blames the bond.

Then he shot a look at Godric, even though he'd been so quick to laugh at his maker's discomfort. Hypocrisy, what.
[location: fangtasia]
"Okay, what the fuck happened?" Yes. Get down to business. And no more of this ever-so-awkward hugging thing.
[location: fangtasia]
"We had an incident with a Slayer a few days ago. I had thought it was resolved, at least tentatively, but it seems she sent her friends to burn the club with Eric inside." And they had probably intended more than just Eric as a target. It was terribly unfortunate for them that Godric hadn't also been caught inside.
"It's possible the nest is also compromised." He directed that comment at Eric, who had probably come to the same conclusion.

She thought over what she'd need to do with the vampires at her place. She had a couple spare bedrooms, and the vampires didn't need to worry about sunlight, so that was good. She'd have to get them that fake blood stuff that Eric's talked about. Ew. She'll leave it to them to get the food.

He moved into the kitchen quietly and leaned against the wall behind Cassie. "Ready when you are."

Godric rose from his position on the couch, ready to leave, casting a glance at the newly-repaired wall between the living room and kitchen.

"Gimme a good reason not to hit you again," Cassie said, walking past him towards the living room. Entering the room, she saw Godric rise and give him a small smile. "Looks like we're heading out," Cassie nodded.

"Everything taken care of?" he asked Godric.

The corvette was in the garage, so that's where he headed. He was actually looking forward to another ride, though he hoped Cassie wouldn't be too terrified by Eric's driving habits.

"Did I say you're an ass yet?" Cassie asked Eric, glancing over at him. "You're an ass," Cassie sighed, following after Godric into the garage.

Though upon walking in on the sex on wheels that was Eric's car, said smirk dimmed slightly. Because while the Corvette was many things - sleek, fun, powerful, fast, one thing it was not was a four-seater. "...We seem to have a logistical problem here."

His face betrayed some small amusement as he grabbed Cassie by the waist, and in the blink of an eye was sitting in the passenger's seat with Cassie held securely on his lap. He looked to Eric, eyes still dancing, as if to say, 'What are you waiting for? You're the driver.'

Cassie's brow furrowed for a moment at Eric's logistics comment. Only to be comically replaced by wide eyes, as Godric wrapped her arms around her waist and sat her, squarely in his lap, in the Corvette.
Her cheeks burned as she looked over her shoulder at Godric. "You guys really like to startled me with your sneakiness and your Speedy Gonzales thing, don't you?"

He started the car with a roar, then let it run down to a purr as he made everything just so. Garage doors were open, rearview mirror adjusted, etc. etc.
"Hold on," he said, slipping on the sunglasses pulled from the visor and peeling out.
