It wasn't uncommon that he ended up sleeping on the floor. But when he woke up, the light was wrong.

Actually, the room was wrong, it was- shiny, it was...
Not in his castle.

With a growl, he raised himself off the floor to his full eight foot height. What was this? Some new form of enchantment to torture him with? Wasn't there enough of that in his life? Snarling, he looked around the room properly. There was barely anything in here, just a pedestal and something on top of that, and, on the other side of the room, a door.

Dropping to all fours, he began towards the door, but paused. That thing on top of the pedestal, what was it? He turned to it, looking at it more closely, and frowned. It was almost like a book, but the top of it glowed. Magic? Was that what had brought him here? He squinted. Were there words on there?

Maybe it worked like the mirror. It was worth a try. He straightened up to command the thing.

"Show me- show me where I am. The building." His tone was short, voice low and with a rough edge.

Charlotte sat at an empty table in her apartment, nothing on the glass top but a single, empty, wine glass. Even her kittens were out of sight. There's a whole lot of nothing but an increasingly morose blonde.

"I am bored. I haven't been bored in...twenty five years? At least. This is ridiculous."

She looked over at the tablet, so she looked straight out to anyone viewing. "What are we supposed to do here? My job is effectively moot in a place like this. There isn't even a hamster wheel to run on."
