The tablet offers a particularly green vision that bobs up and down slowly, with the rhythm of walking. Branches and undergrowth are visible, in a sort of handheld Blair Witch-type way, and it's obvious that the tablet is peeking out of a purse or something similar. The movement comes to a stop, and the angle alters to show Buffy sitting down on a log, twirling a wooden stake in her hand absently. She's also humming in a tuneless, distracted manner, and is clearly unaware that her tablet is broadcasting. As if from nowhere, she states, matter-of-fact:

"Holy popsicles, do I miss killing things."

...Oops.

"Right. So."

Spade is sitting at his desk in his office, looking as at home as is possible, under the circumstances. As creepy as it was to have his office replicated down to the doorknobs, he has to admit that it's the only place in Taxon he feels at all at ease. Designed that way, no doubt, but true even so.

"My secretary's up and left on me. And I could use a new one. Not that the cases are rolling in, mind you, but someone should know where all these files go, I figure. Let me know if you're interested. But you do gotta come in for an actual interview. Talking over the tablets still rubs me wrong, you know?"

After a moment, he adds, "Last secretary wasn't a great office worked, but she had legs that went for miles and sass like you wouldn't believe, so qualifications are flexible."

Spade is beginning to realize that something isn't quite right.

The tablet flickers on to an image of the god-king staring intently down at the screen. Illyria gingerly presses a button, and her image disappears, as the voice function of the tablet is activated - but only for a short while. A few clicks later and the visual mode is on again - and this time, Illyria's expression is that of clear befuddlement.

"Odd. How mere humans seem to master this device without difficulty, given their many limitations."
