01; [holo] lost in space
In an ironic twist, Kaylee's grand broadcasted arrival into Taxon mirrors her grand first appearance on Serenity - flat on her back. Thankfully she has clothes on, though they are full of grime and grease and her arm position clearly indicates that she was working on something. For a couple minutes she just remains there at the top of the platform.
Why isn't she looking up at Serenity's innards anymore? How'd she get snatched up without feeling a thing? WHERE'S SERENITY?!
Finally she bolts upright, nearly going down the few platform stairs. The view from this position is no better, though now she can see the small tablet innocently waiting for her on its perch.
"Cap’n?" Nothing. "Wash?" Nope. "River?" Silence. Her voice starts to get louder and more panicked with each remaining name. "Simon?! Sheppard?!?"
"... Jayne?"
Ai ya.
"What’s goin’ on?!" She eyeballs the tablet again before deciding to just snatch it up. Maybe it’s linked to the Cortex. "'s anyone out there?" Wait ... this could be linked to the Alliance lines.
"We weren’t doin' a thing! Ya better let me outta here Or I'll do ... somethin' real bad to ya!" There. That just had to sound convincing. Hopefully. She looks around again, sees the single door in the room and makes a break for it.
