The contradiction there doesn't inspire much faith, but then, even if the Doctor had rolled out completely foolproof blueprints, Bruce still would have been deeply skeptical. He's quelled the black storm of hurt and anger over Rachel's death that threatened to let anything set him off into violence, but that doesn't mean his opinions on anyone have changed.

You know, because if people get blown to hell again Bruce gets the feeling someone is just going to take the initiative to kill this guy - and while he personally would prefer to avoid that, there's really only so much terrorist activity a small group of purposeful people can deal with.
