He can't be there every moment. Maybe he should run. Maybe he should've died when he fell on the Master's sword. Maybe it would be better that way. He can't hurt her if he's dead. She can't become a hostage if he's gone.
He pushes open the door to the flat and starts carefully up the stairs towards her room.
