She hadn't given the wrench much thought since leaving the workshop, but she drew it out of her pocket when Glitch mentioned it.

"Here," she said, handing it over, "I haven't even had to hit anyone with it yet."

That wasn't their job. (If it had been, however, she wouldn't have shied away from it.)
