Perhaps he would have been better off climbing the tallest tree, but alas, if one is not foresighted, one cannot be forearmed. Gump personally blames the air, first thin, now foul as the filthiest bog of the land.
Somewhere down the road, Wesley might find himself accompanied by something seeming very much like a boy - at a distance, lurking at the corner of his eye like a kitten toying with its mortal. He isn't hiding, or he wouldn't be clearly visible at all (though he is much better at that sort of thing in the green outdoors, admittedly). He's merely...tagging along.
