Aside from not wanting Spike to feel as though she was only interested in sex, one of her other reasons for holding back for so long was that she was simply scared. Afraid that being this close to him would remind her of the last time, of being pinned to the bathroom floor - that somehow she wouldn't be able to disassociate herself in the present from those memories, that she wouldn't be capable of this level of intimacy with him again. That she'd freeze up or freak out or... some other very bad scenario.

All her fears were unfounded, however. They're not the same people they were in the past - she doesn't hate him, and she doesn't hate herself anymore either. She trusts him, something she was never able to do when they were sleeping together before. Kissing him doesn't feel like an escape or a cheap thrill, it just feels good.

She moans yearningly into the kiss when he rolls his hips against hers, reciprocating the motion. With one hand gripping his shoulder, the other fumbles for the door handle again. No matter how lustful she might be feeling, she really doesn't want Dawn or Tara to walk in on them practically at second base in the hall. "Why don't we try all three?" She suggests mischievously, breaking the kiss and pulling him into the now-open doorway. "Then I can make an informed decision."
