He made an amused noise when Martha took his wrist and checked his pulse almost immediately, but didn't stop her. Protesting that he'd had far worse injuries in the past and managed to live through them wouldn't really make much of a difference or, he imagined, really be appreciated by Martha.
He didn't think she'd much like it either if he pointed out that technically he only had to tell her about what happened that he needed some help with. Besides, it would only make her more suspicious than she already was and it wouldn't help him much.
"The surgery's a good place to start," he agreed, neatly dodging the other comment. "Jenny isn't there yet, is she?"
