Figuring that the water would take some time and feeling much too antsy to watch it boil (besides, she thought it did actually make it take longer, somehow), Jenny busied herself gathering a big bowl to pour the water in and a dish towel. Probably superfluous to requirements considering that Martha had towels in the bathroom, but she didn't know what else to do with herself.

After a couple minutes of feeling useless, she decided to wander back over to the bathroom, see how things were going, and inform Martha that the kettle was on.
