Kirk stayed silent for a moment, then sighed heavily. He had suspected this for a while now, that B'Elanna was from the original timeline, before Nero got his father killed and tampered with the flow of history. If she were from his, the she would've known who Nero was. He wasn't entirely sure how to approach the subject of being James Kirk, but not the James Kirk she thought he was.

"A Romulan," he explained. "From the late 24th Century. It's a long story."
