[Hardly unexpected, though still disappointing, in a way as close to disappointed as he would ever allow himself to get. None of it made any kind of sense and trying to make it make sense was proving to be a fruitless effort. Why underground? Why, if this truly was a kidnapping, allow something to remind them of home? Did that not entirely defeat the purpose, or was that even the purpose?
