"That's what I meant, yes," the Doctor said, interested by Spock's apparent desire to be rather precise about things. It was the kind of reaction that he was somewhat tempted to try and purposely take advantage of or tease him with later. He almost wished Amy were here to join in with some light teasing, but it might be better to wait and see how Spock would react to that sort of thing first.

Not that he'd never teased someone from a species that took that badly, but Martha might be a bit cross with him if he did something like that considering the last time he'd seen her and why.

"Well if you don't have any questions for me," he said, settling himself more comfortably, "Maybe I can ask you some. Where and when are you from, Spock?"
