There was, of course, always the possibility of a lie, but if what he had been able to determine so far was true, then she really had no reason to. It was doubtful, with what little he knew of what this place was or was supposed to be, that there was any reason to lie. Perhaps the insignia on her strange-looking uniform assisted with that kind of inherent trust that it seemed to bring with it. That didn't mean that he trusted her, though- only what symbols she was wearing.
