It was all in the past--done and overwith. He'd been rescued and that's all there was to it. Sure, it had hurt at the time, but now he had a future with the Bards and with the Court. He'd never go back to the streets if he had any say about it. And he sure as hell did. He had made his choices and no one could send him back there.
