He didn't need to ask her. She'd followed the Doctor into trouble on more than one occasion and she wouldn't hesitate to do the same for Briar. It wasn't difficult to see that he needed her at the moment and that he would continue to need her regardless of what they did or didn't find.

"That's what friends are for," she said simply, offering him her hand and turning in the direction that he'd indicated. "Let's go."
