Ashley tilts her head to the side, watching him. She knows him, knows he's a decent guy, and the humanity in her doesn't want to hurt him. But she wants someone to be able to stop her. For now, though, she's forced to watch him in turn, to see what he'll do. His words register and she will take them to heart.
