The broiler opens and the bread hovers into it before the broiler closes again. Madelyne is opening the fridge and pulling out what seems like it would be good to go with the bread from what she sees there. Butter and jam end up on the counter.

"I think it might have gotten a little colder out there but it is really hard to tell. All of the snow is just a solid mass," she says as she prepares a bowl for herself.
