[Visual] Is there a Doctor in the house?

John appears on the screen, holding Annika. She has an obviously broken arm, the result of some over eager swinging and the evils of gravity. "There wouldn't happen to be a doctor around who could maybe come and give us a hand. We've had a bit of an accident and, well, there are broken bones involved.

I'd rather not take her to the hospital to be seen by one of these... others. I'd rather it be one of us."

He looks down at Annika and kissed the top of her head. "it'll be okay, sweetheart. I promise."

Toby looks from John to Charlotte to Adria, both wary and confused. Were they planning to let this woman near that little girl? He holds his medic bag, unsure.

"Can someone explain to me what's going on...?"

Annika's not really aware of what's going on at all, but she can feel the tension between all the grown ups that have gathered round. She picks up on the mood like any child would do and stiffens in John's arms.

Looking forlorn and feeling a bit guilty that she's caused all this trouble she looks at Toby sheepishly. "I broke my arm."

Adria points at Annika, looking at Toby. "She is injured. The power of the Ori can repair her injury." But she has very little patience for explaining herself to interlopers, especially when any careful examination of her motives feels so uncomfortable.

She looks to Annika herself instead, holding up her hands to show that they're free of weapons. That they are themselves weapons is less obvious, but that's irrelevant at the moment. "I can stop it from hurting, I can put it right again. Good as new. Would you like my help?"

Whether the others want her to help or not is unimportant. She addresses the child directly, and why shouldn't she? Just because she hasn't existed as long as the others doesn't mean that they should be making her decisions for her.

John wouldn't do anything to prevent Annika from answering, but he intends to watch Inara anyway. Something isn't right with her and the pressure on his back, from Charlie, tells him that he's not the only one who thinks that.

Charlotte had much the same reaction. If the girl could be healed, that was lovely, but there was no way she trusted the over all situation. Still, it was up to the girl. With her other hand, she brushed at Annika's hair while meeting Adira's eyes. "If she can make it better, honey, the pain would be gone."

Toby tries to get a read on Adria and her 'power of the Ori', looking at her steadily.

"Sorry, and we're supposed to just believe that?"

"I'm..." Annika's unsure what she's supposed to do or say here and she looks to everyone for some kind of help, eyes darting to each of them confused She has Charlotte doubting the Ori lady, she's made that much clear and now this other man does too.

"She won't hurt me more than it already hurts?" She finally asks John. Sorry guys, decisions from a six year old, not likely.

This is beginning to try Adria's patience, even for dealing with the child. She closes the remaining distance in a few strides and reaches out to touch the girl's arm. She's not above holding the rest of them back and the girl down to do what needs to be done, but she's not quite willing to try it yet. "It won't hurt. Give me your arm."

She actually doesn't know if the process of healing hurts or not, but what's worse? A broken arm, or a moment of pain and then having it fixed?

John is less than pleased with Inara's behavior. But, truthfully, if she can heal Annika, then it is worth it. He looks down at the girl tucked against his chest and nods. In her mind, he whispers to her. If she hurts you more, I will take care of it. I promise. He suspects that Charlie has heard him, too.

"Do it." He nearly hisses at Inara, watching her very carefully.

Charlotte heard him clear as a bell, her hand tightening on his back as an indicator. She reached with invisible hands to support Annika's arm, more waiting to protect than to actually lift it. Anything she could do to make the experience hurt less for the girl, she would do. "It'll be all right, honey." She smiled very gently. "You just hold onto John with your other hand."

Toby heard it too, although he kept that much under wraps. Actually, he pretty much stayed there, to the side, quiet, as the group seemed to be letting this Adria woman heal the girl.

Annika just nods at the instructions from Charlotte and Adria, everything's pretty confusing right now, she's not sure if John said what he said out loud, but it's too much to fathom at the moment. She pretty much knows they distrust this woman, but then again she's offering to heal it, so she holds out her arm as best she can, wincing against the pain.

"Just make it stop hurting please, then I can stop being a bother." In her eyes she's caused all this.

To her credit, Adria didn't grab the Annika's arm harshly. She didn't have a lot of experience with pain herself...she didn't have a lot of experience with most things herself. Still, she was calm as she laid a hand on the girl's wrist, carefully but firmly. Her eyes lit up with power and her hand glowed, and after a moment the girl's arm did as well. Bone rearranged itself, mended and was whole again.

She didn't know if it hurt. Whether it hurt or not didn't really concern her.

He held onto Annika was Inara worked. Seeing that type of magic at work still made him very uneasy, something he knew Charlie could feel. He just hoped that Annika didn't feel it. He didn't want to scare her any. So he went back to softly singing in her mind.

Charlotte knew full well that it made John's skin crawl. She didn't need to see his face at all to know that. This magic wasn't anything like hers, though, and she had every intention of explaining that to him at some length later. With diagrams if need be.

For the moment all that mattered was the girl feeling better. She bit her lip and waited for the girl's reaction.
