Sleep, if Brigitta didn't need it she probably would forsake it altogether- she could be using the time for learning more Spanish or trying out yet another foolhardy sport, instead of just sitting there in pointless REM stuff; that won’t help her fight demons or be as fit as humanly possible will it? She can’t even be conscious to enjoy it!
…She isn’t logical at all, so sue her.
In fact: the only thing she really likes about sleep is the bit just before she wakes up fully; the bit where she can believe whatever she likes and plan another relaxed day of working out and doing nothing… Perfect, this morning should be no different- a lovely day of nothing at all; with everything as it should be.
…Until she rolls over in a wonderfully sleepy way and comes face to face with a strange woman- who was definitely not there at midnight “Ahh!”
Aaaand she promptly falls out of the bed… Which isn’t hers either when she actually stops to think about it, weird.

Hi Kaylee!

Hi Kaylee!

"Well, they do if we can't afford nuthin' on account of runnin' out of money or not gettin' paid 'nuff for a job. 's just how it is out in the black for folks like us what don't like livin' all strict under the Alliance. But we make sure to spend real smartly when we land for a supply run."
With Brigitta trailing her she heads to the cabinet lockers behind the multi-purpose counter. She opens a few of the cabinets to show an array of mugs as varied as the chairs and cushions nearby.
[ooc; /just did too ;; Stupid candy doesn't last long enough
Yeaaaa. Such is life if I want to keep paying for the car that gets my butt everywhere XD; *clings*]

She tilts her head at all the mugs and smiles in a rather impressed way; her brain very, very slowly turning to try and understand the whole Alliance statement thing- it certainly doesn’t sound nice to her; this might be because of her freedom grabbing tendencies “are the Alliance really strict then? Sounds sensible to get away from them if they are.”
Of course, Brigitta would probably be the one running towards them screaming and holding a sword- but that doesn’t sound all that good.
[OOC: ;; It doesn't! I's so yummy but it flees so quickly, the meanie ;;
DD:; Sorry for the delay by the way! Damned school needs to stop draining all my energy -_-]

"They got a lotta rules what don't make sense. 'cept for how they benefit the rich folk of the Core planets. They still ain't too popular with Outer Rim folks cos of the whole Unification idea." Grrr arrrgh Alliance.
[ooc; :< I bet it does it on purpose.
No problem! :3 Hell I was gone for days with no internets cos I went out of town so really no biggie XD]

"Are there a lot of rich folk around?" Brigitta actually sounds a bit angry at this; despite being sort of a princess in her old life (which she doesn't like thinking about so this thought shall be neatly forgotten after it is completed) she always played with the 'commoner' people around more; they were less sqeuamish about dirty dresses.
[OOC: :( Yesss; it is probably a defence mechanism of utter fail.
:3; yay grandparents! (I think I remember it being grandparents; poke me if I've got it wrong :/)]

As she's speaking she's getting water for Brigitta. Out of habit she's running it through a few filters even though the water pumping through Serenity's pipes has been the best she's ever had thanks to Taxon. Once Brigitta's chosen mug is full of the (ultra clean) water she picks her own mug out and sets it on the counter. Water's great and all but this sort of crazy morning calls for some strong tea.
[ooc; damn that defense mechanism. damn it.
:3 you got it! I was visiting my grandparents and helping them out with stuff :3]

Ah,
boringtasty water- bliss. She'll probably move on to coffee later but water has a calming effect on her; weird but it does tend to work.Tis a stupid defence mechanism ;;
