(001) Holo: Arrival: Web Date Interrupted.

"No, no, I'm listening."

"You really aren't."

"I'm totally listening." Sam mumbled, tilting his head towards the computer sleepily and biting back a yawn. It was a week since he'd been able to talk his way into getting back to college, and his and Mikaela's first web date since then. The only problem was, it was a late one, and he'd been studying like a lunatic to catch up with his classes. A guy could only take so much.

Still, Mikaela was starting to sound a little pissed. "Sam, come on. And stop leaning out of the frame like I won't know exactly what you're doing."

He jerked from his comfortable position in his chair, now ruined by being found out, and rubbed his eyes. "Okay. I'm here. I'm up, I'm awake, I'm here." He straightened up in front of the desk, and smiled to prove it. "Here, see? And look at you, you look great. This is the best web date ever."

She tried hard not to laugh. "This is the first web date ever." She pointed out, rolling her eyes at him. "The only web date ever. And if you want to keep doing this until I can get a place there--"

"I do." Sam nodded quickly. If a guy couldn't get laid, he'd web date until he could web date no more. "I promise. I'm listening. What were you saying about the garage?"

And then she was talking again. And as hard as he tried to listen, Sam couldn't help leaning back in the chair ever so slowly. It was his Dad's fault, really, he'd bought him such a good chair. All that going on and on about how important it was for him to have something that wouldn't damage his back, because he'd be spending so much time on the computer writing paper after paper after paper after--

"Sam!"

"What?!" Sam's eyes snapped open, and he nearly fell out of his chair in an attempt to sit up again.

And then he found himself tripping and falling into a metal wall anyway. Sam yelped in a manner that was less than cool, and turned quickly, falling back against another metal wall in the process. "What the... What the hell?"

A metal room. A metal room that he shouldn't be in. A metal room that he'd been clearly kidnapped from where he'd been to be there now.

Mikaela was going to be so pissed.

It was entirely too amusing to watch the boy try to command the smaller dog. Helen found back a laugh and just smiled broadly instead. There was a reason she never had a pet as a child.

"Nothing. Are you sure?"

"Well, there are numerous places. There are a few hotels, or..." Helen glanced behind her at the Sanctuary. "If you don't feel comfortable in either of those, I could offer a room for you. Until you found somewhere more suitable."

Even though most the people there never left anyways.

Helen smiled and turned her wrist towards the Sanctuary, to show the building over the small tablet screen. Not all of it could be seen, of course, but a good fair amount.

"I believe I do, Samuel."

"Do you need someone to come pick you up?"
