[location: The Hedge Maze][accidental visual]

Chiana didn't really know how she had arrived in this place. The walls were tall. And green. She had been wondering and had found the entrance. It looked interesting, and being the curious creature that she was, Chiana had gone right in without thinking.

An hour later, she was still lost.

"Hello?" She called out. Why she thought it would work this time and not the last fifteen was something she didn't really think about. She didn't realize that her tablet, which was connected at her wrist, had turned on. "Anyone there?" She made another turn and was positive she had been in this part before, but couldn't prove it so she just kept moving.

He was safely within the Mountain now, but he recognized the voice enough to give pause--generally, he glanced at the tablet only when it projected holographic images or when he recognized a voice on it. He put down the file he'd been reading, and picked up the tablet, switching it to visual. "Anyone where?"

"Mitchell." At least he had the decency to use visual instead of audio. Despite what some might believe, he actually had no interest in making people believe he was someone with an action hero name.

He was an action hero already, dammit.

Cameron squinted at the image. "They've got that much plantlife here?"

Huh. He hadn't the slightest clue where that might be. He might live in a mountain, but it didn't have windows in it, so his view of the city was pretty limited. If Sam were still around, she could have probably used the Asgard Core to transport Chiana out of the maze directly.

"Nope, sorry. I don't get out into the city much." He frowned at the tablet. "I don't suppose there's a machete lying around there anywhere?"

"I'm going to take the opportunity to assume all those words I don't know are compliments." Because he could just hang up on you, Chiana. "Where abouts in the city is this maze? I might be able to come over there and help."

Like, with guns or such things that render hedge-mazes ineffective.

Right. Big ol' bushy maze in the middle of the city. How hard would it be to get there via trams? His upbringing demanded he lend a hand if he could. The irony that--for his double being the 'doer'--he was the one lending a hand to Crichton's friend, not Crichtn to his, was not lost to him.

"Don't let it eat you before I get there, then."

DG recognised - for want of a better word - the hedge maze immediately. She knew her way around it instinctively, but at the same time, her childhood memories of happily chasing Azkedillia through the winding paths were hazy at best. (Like so many of her other memories, actually. It wasn't a complete blank, but the fragments she could dredge up always left her feeling a little unsatisfied. She wanted a bit more.)

"Need any help?" she asked, pulling her tablet towards her in order to reply.

"It's all right, I know that maze like the back of my hand," said DG, deciding it would be better for Chiana if she didn't mention her fairly selective amnesia. She was about 98% certain that she could find her and get her out again, and that wasn't a bad percentage. "And I think I can probably use this tablet to find you, anyway."

Technology wasn't her strong point - she was a pretty good mechanic, but, when it came to computers and related machinery, she'd always tended to stick to the basics - but it could be that hard to get her to show up on the map.

"It's Chiana, right?" she asked, pulling on her jacket and moving towards the door.

"That's me," she said, messing around with the various buttons on the tablet as she left the Northern Island. One of the problems with living in a giant palace was that it took her quite a while to cross the hallway and get to the door. At least she wasn't too far from the maze.

After a bit of a struggle, DG managed to produce a visual of the dot that indicated Chiana's location. She grinned in accomplishment.

"I won't be too long," she told the other women, then: "What were you doing in the maze anyway?"
