"Hasn't really felt like the easy way," she observed, hugging her elbows against the cold. Storming out of places was a lot more convenient in Summer. She nodded her agreement, with regards to coming clean about things-- it wouldn't be easy of course, but it would help. "We'll work it out, Angel." Pause. "I mean, Spike and I are downright chatty." Which was half a joke, admittedly, to try and lighten the tone. But also true. And if anything could motivate Angel as well as an If Spike can do it..., she had yet to discover it.
Buffy still had the necklace Angel gave her, she just didn't wear it anymore-- which seemed oddly metaphorical.
"Yeah. I really do," she answered honestly, not quibbling over the 'kid' terminology. That was just Angel. "And you, do you..." She couldn't quite believe these words were actually coming out of her mouth. "...love Cordelia?"
