five | [Location: Levi's Mansion] | got my boots on, the right amount of leather
New Years Eve.
Levi is ready, decked out in his party suit, and a lot of makeup. He's just finished his preparations, and he's sitting in his living room, waiting patiently for Cordelia to arrive, and then the guests. Of course, the party isn't taking place in his living room. That's much too small for such a large event.
He's having a party in his basement.
His basement is huge, and he's decked it out in lights and such that he's hatched. All of it has a New Years theme, somehow; Levi's good at throwing parties, he knows how to decorate. The room is basically like a nightclub. It's dark, but clear of most beams and supports; there are couches and chairs, and a bar to the far end, stocked with just about every type of alcohol imaginable (as well as a few different types of blood). Here and there, there's potted plants and trees in clumps, as well as a giant throne, surrounded by those plants, further along on the back wall. There's also a large stage towards the middle, with a dancing space out in front of it. And right above the stage is a giant clock, which Levi had set up earlier for the countdown later that night.
As for music, he's got a whole playlist, just waiting to be started. It's a huge mix of things, from pop-y dance music to slow songs for the couples. There's a few setlists, of sorts, pinned to the walls and the bar.
It's about ten minutes before the party arrives, and Levi is waiting impatiently.
[[ooc: Vaguely organized planning post here! If there's a song you suggested and you want it to be played, it will be. Just handwave it. So yes! Have fun. :D
EDIT: Subthread labeled for the countdown to midnight is up! Grab your date and tag there for kissy tiemz. :3]

"Evening, Cordelia," Levi hums, clearly in a fantastic mood. "That is a beautiful dress."

Angel waited until there were more bodies filling the room to approach Cordelia. In true Angel fashion, he came up behind her, seemingly out of nowhere like he had the uncanny ability to do without putting fourth much effort. "White suits you."
What do you know, they match (http://www.d-boreanaz.com/gallery/albums/albums/magazines/us-weekly-2/normal_us-weekly-2-001.jpg). The irony of this is not lost on the vampire who promised her he'd attend Levi's party. And this is him, attending.

So he turned up at the party in the shiniest suit ever, smelling faintly of his fourth-wall gift, and tried to blend in. Good luck with that.
no subject
"That is quite possibly the shiniest suit I've ever seen," Levi says, by way of a conversation starter. He's trying not to sneak up on people, but he does have a tendency to just pop up, holding a glass in his hand and looking very pleased with everything.

It was a demand rather than a question, though Drusilla's expression when she turned to Glitch was positively angelic. She gave him a wide smile, her teeth as white as her dress and her lips as red as something it was best not to think about.
"Dance with me."
She held out her hand for him to take. If he said no, she'd be very cross.

It had taken forever to figure out what they wanted to wear - those hatches equaled a massive variety to choose from - but had finally decided on something (http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j4/cnrward/Style%20and%20Clothing%20pics/RedHolidayDresses1.jpg). They strolled on in, each step in sync, looking around the room.
It ain't no mutant prom, that's for sure.

"Red is definitely a good color for you three," Levi remarks casually, taking a sip from his glass.

As people seemed to enjoy pointing out, Angel had a nasty habit of wearing black, black, and a lot more black and when he did venture away from the black, he stuck to a dark color scheme that was only a few degrees away from being in the black range-- dark blues, purple-ish hues, crimson reds, browns and so on. So, as if to prove that he was capable of donning something that didn't accent the creature of the night theme he had going for him, the vampire showed up wearing something in white (http://www.d-boreanaz.com/gallery/albums/albums/magazines/us-weekly-2/normal_us-weekly-2-001.jpg).
It was plain, simple, yet effective.
The scent of the person (http://glowingseer.livejournal.com/profile) he's looking for is easy enough to pick up on, for once Angel's one of the first people to arrive when he usually makes with the grand late entrances. Several first this evening, it seems. He doesn't go to her just yet, instead lingering near a wall that has now been officially dubbed the wall in which he will retreat to when needed for parties aren't really his thing. He's here, for he promised the woman he's eying from across the room that he'd attend. ...and he needed to issue an apology or two to people he taunted and harassed when he was Angelus and more than likely, those people would be here. Hopefully none of them thought he was still The Scourge. His soul was back and very much intact.

The whole wallflower thing isn't going to fly. Not at Levi's party. So he slides up next to Angel, holding two wine glasses, one for him and one for Angel. He offers Angel the wineglass with pig's blood, having heard Cordelia talk about it before, and grins.
"You could go talk to her, rather than skulking in the corner," Levi tells Angel, smirking.

Which meant plenty of opportunity for causing chaos.
What she was wearing (http://www.chosentwo.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=4&pos=25), was more in line with the Buffy of yore, but unless someone possessed the ability to detect a vampire at range, the turned Slayer had every intention of donning human guise. No facial ridges or fangs for her. Not on display, anyway. This was more a chance for skulking around to scout out prey and potential competitors.
That the interior was to her liking, helped matters, of course.
"Nice..."

"Hey Buffy!" she greets, handing one of her champagne glasses to the other girl. "Glad you can make it!"

Donning Fred's appearance (http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk166/zarahjoyce/tgiq0142.jpg) once again, she follows some of the people and descends towards the basement. Most of the people are unfamiliar to both her and the shell. Illyria goes to stand near the walls, merely observing.
Perhaps if she watches enough, she will finally come to understand how these unfortunate creatures work.
no subject
"Someone as pretty as you shouldn't be standing by the wall all alone," Levi hums, looking out at the crowd. "It's a sad thought, indeed."

So.
Dexter makes it down to the basement after a long and nervous trek (almost tripping a few times on the way down, wonderful), not extremely dressed up (think this (http://i45.tinypic.com/2jcexcw.png) without the manbag), but A for effort. Once inside, he kind of glances around at all the people, scoping out the ones he knows aren't of the bloodsucking variety. Oh, Dexter. You go to a party with vampires, you're going to end up mingling with vampires.

It gets kind of hard to block out thoughts when you're half in the bag.
He slips inside as discreetly as possible, wearing the good old clubbing-in-Toronto attire - a blue shirt, sleeves rolled up, and jeans - , and unintentionally looking less than cheerful. The room is loud with voices and thoughts, but the music is doing a good job of blocking out both. If he's lucky, he won't overhear much unless he's really trying.

So Dean stops living in his Impala (which he's been doing since he glitched back to human from... whatever the hell that had been) and drives to Levi's mansion, rolling his eyes at the whole thing. Jeeze. Fancy vampires.
So that's how Dean ends up lurking in the far corner of the room, quiet, with a drink in his hand and a stake (he wanted to take the crossbow Buffy gave him for Christmas but it was too big) in his pocket. Stakes are still dumb, to him, but... they seem to be effective on these things, so. Go with the flow.
He's giving off a 'I'm the goddamn Rat Dude' vibe, here.
no subject
"Hey, Dean," Cordelia greets him, fulfilling her duty to go and talk to people no matter how... weird and overall unpleasant they are. "So good of you to come. Feels like I haven't talked to you in forever, doesn't it?"

Though the dreaded fourth of January is now closer than ever, Kirk is trying to be a more pleasant individual and doing so by making an appearance at this party he was invited to. He didn't dress up, but he did opt for something more comfortable (http://chris-pine.org/imgs/displayimage.php?album=68&pos=1) that didn't scream he was from a future where traveling through space was the norm. He doesn't see his girlfriend yet among the crowd, but he's more interested in locating a much-needed drink at the moment and makes a b-line for the bar.

Levi makes his way to the bar, and slides behind it, grinning at Kirk.

Never, had Siri worn anything like this (http://i48.tinypic.com/w6vkj.png) in her life, but it was what the hatch had produced for her when she went to it to find something that was more New Years appropriate so she could attend this party in something that wasn't her usual Jedi garb. She even went as far as to let her hair down for the occasion and took comfort in the fact that she seemed to blend in with the other women at the party to help ease how awkward she felt wearing something that was more suited to senators.
She eyed the decorations, ever fascinated by the costumes of the humans from this Earth, coming to stand next to a woman who seemed to be admiring them as well. "I assume they serve some sort of purpose," she asked in that clipped Coruscanti accent of hers.

Plus, morbid curiosity wanted to see his clone and Aeryn, he presumed they'd be attending. So a last minute decision to show his face had him turning up in his usual leather (http://www.farscaped.com/jcleathers.jpg).
Now where was the bar? Christ he needed a drink.

Besides, he was escorting the lovely Astrid, and he wouldn't want to tarnish his reputation that he's built up with her. "Enjoy yourself!" he tells her with a flourish of a hand. "There's plenty of good people to meet for the social butterflies."
He'll have to leave her side soon, though. It would do him no good if people came around pointing fingers regarding his little presentation with the dead Extra.

"It makes a change not to be working at a party like this," she grinned at her charming company. "I'll be sure to! Thank you, by the way. For everything."

MIDNIGHT KISS
"As of now... it's two minutes to midnight. If you have a date, find them and hold them close. The countdown is starting soon," Levi says to all of them, before hopping down from the platform.
He has nobody to kiss (or so he thinks), so he's going to go hide by the bar while the countdown clock lowers, digital numbers ticking down one by one.

FASHIONABLY LATE
doesn't afraid of anythingisn't afraid of some intimidation - ignoring, for his own sake, that said intimidation was by a vampire.Ye olde Ethan is currently standing somewhat off to the side, watching the crowd and feeling uncomfortably out of place... which he shouldn't, he thinks, because bars and parties have always been his thing. But times seem to have changed. A lot. He's in a white shirt and black tie, the outfit looking only vaguely as oldschool as him. Observing - and maybe keeping an eye out for the attractive women in the room - , he nurses his drink.
Best way to be!
(Meeting people was one thing, but that wasn’t what she had in mind.)
She didn’t have a particular destination in mind as she crossed the room, although a drink would be a good idea, but she smiled at the man with the tie as she passed. She couldn't hide away in the Northern Island forever.

Annnd here's the Master being 'social' away from Astrid.
There was a bounce in the Master's step as he moved about the party, pleased with the upbeat music that kept the drums from aching as badly.
And then at last he could not deny the throne. It was perfect! It was a beaut! After all, he was the Master; he was deserving of something of this sort! Pleased, he stretches himself across it and looks out amongst the people that he could rule.
Whether or not he wanted this city, however... That was another question entirely.

And now here she was, a drink she found tepid and bland in her hand. Illyria smiled at him - the expression completely alien to her face, but not on Winifred's - and asked, "Are you sure it's okay for you to sit there?"
