It was just a normal morning. Guinevere did her typical routine; up around sunrise to get herself ready before checking in on Morgana. There were a few extra things she had to do herself now that almost all of the Extras had been banished from the chambers, but it only delayed her an extra half an hour or so.
When Morgana did not respond to the knocking at her door, Guinevere entered with little delay, but dropped all the sheets she had been carrying once she saw the state of the room and the lack of its Lady. There was clearly a struggle, objects from the vanity and the very linens had been ripped away from the bed. Her window was wide open, possibly the point of entry as the path of the struggle lead clearly towards the door.
Guinevere looked around herself, mortified and mentally cursing herself that she had not heard any of it happening just two rooms away. She took her tablet from her bracelet, frantically hitting whichever button she could quickly and paying little mind to the method she used to begin her transmission. It was all still new and confusing to her, but she needed to get the message out quickly.
“Arthur! Mr Casey! Lady Morgana has been taken from her chambers. I know not by who or where they went, but there was clearly a struggle. Please, help!”

"Where are her chambers? Are you there now? I'll come to you."

"I'm in her room, it's up the stairs on the east end of the palace," she said, voice shaking and eyes glassy in the morning light. "I'll wait for you outside."

He shuts off his tablet and snaps it back onto his bracelet. He still can't get over that. Still, it's handy and he's not gonna complain.
It only takes him a minute to find his way up to where Guinevere's waiting for him. She looks even more upset in person.
"Hey. We'll find her. The City's not that big. If they wanted her dead, she would be. So it's a snatch and grab. They want her alive. That gives us time to get her back. Okay, so who has access to the Royal Chambers? Walk me through what happened."
He quickly eyeballs the door to see if there's any sign of a break in.
[Location : Royal Chambers]
"Just Arthur, Morgana and I. W-we had Extras helping around the house, but Morgana had them kicked out a few days ago," she's leading him into the room and quickly stepping over to the window. "I made certain that this window was close last night before I left."
She shifts her gaze back to Casey, eyes still filled with worry and concern. "Do you...do you think it was the Extras? They attacked us, what's to say they weren't coming here for a reason?"
[Location : Royal Chambers]
He surveys the scene, notes the signs of Morgana putting up a fight: things smashed on the floor or knocked over, the bedsheets half dragged off the bed. The window does look like how the abductor got in, then it looks like she was taken out the front. He stoops down to touch something on the floor. It's a drop of blood. Can't tell whose it is.
"The Extras never had purpose before, correct? Why would they take Morgana? She was the specific target. I'm thinking someone's behind these attacks. They aren't random."
[Location : Royal Chambers]
She says that last part to herself, placing the blame on her own lack of knowledge of the city. Perhaps if she and Casey hadn't been so new this would make sense and they would have a lead or at least know something more than the point of entry.
She considers his words for a moment, thinking back on Morgana's opposition to them in the first place. There was more to the Extras than just being mindless vessels.
"No... I mean, they don't start having much purpose but they can be told to do things. We gave them specific instructions on how to run the palace. They could be given specific instructions on how to kidnap people from their homes."

What? My lady Morgana? Lady, what's happened?

[ All the worry is still present in her voice. ]

"What do you mean, taken?" he asks. "Gwen, what's happened to her?"
He's not entirely sure where the knowledge that her nickname is Gwen came from, and he's not sure he wants to know. All that matters is Morgana is gone. Just as she'd dreamt.

"She is not in her chambers, and her room is in disarray," she says, voice still a bit unsteady as she paces the room. "I was just a few doors down... I can't believe I did not hear it."

"We need to find her," he says. "They wouldn't have sent her home this way, it's not like them. It's not their M.O."
[visual]
"You mean our captors? If not them, then who would be capable of something like this?"
Re: [visual]
"I don't know," he lies. "But we'll find out."
[visual]
"Thank you, Doctor, for thing," she says with quiet sincerity. "Just tell me what I need to do to help."
Re: [visual]
[visual] wow typo. thing = this
"Take care of yourself, sir."
