Kara, by some strange twist of fate, missed pretty much everything having to do with the kidnappings as she settled into her life in Taxon. She's recently found her box with all her pictures in it and figured that now was as good a time as any to sort through them all. Unfortunately, she hasn't realized quite yet that the tablet's on.
She flips through an album thoughtfully as music begins playing the in the background. Looks like one of the resident superheroes got hit by the glitch, too. She pulls out a picture of her and her adopted aunt, Lana, and gives it a wistful smile. It feels like so much has happened between the last time she'd seen Lana and now. There's a part of Kara that really wants to be able to see her again, to make things right, but the bigger part of her doesn't want to see her kidnapped too. It just figures that, somehow, how she felt on New Krypton and how she feels now, looking at the photo, would be turned into a song.
"We've crossed the finish line.
I'm ready to apologize,
But now I can't see you at all.
But please don't come to me,
To this crazy city,
Just keep yourself safe from it all.
Well, I know what I've been told,
I've got a family name to uphold.
I'll have to do this all on my own,
Yeah, I can do this all on my own,
Even though, I'm no Superman.
I'm no Superman,
I'm no Superman."
As the song ends, Kara realizes that she's just been hit by the glitch and she starts, the photo album falling from her lap with a small thud. When she spots the tablet and the fact that it's on, Kara lets out a small groan and rubs at her forehead.
"Great. That's just... great."
[ ooc: not gonna lie, i kind of just wanted an excuse for kara to sing part of this song. and now that plot shenanigans that i totally missed are over, y'all get an embarrassed kryptonian. have fun? ]

[ this is said in what, she hopes, is a convincing tone. ]

I was kind of hoping I'd get to skip all the singing stuff, but I guess not.

Someone should make alien hamster punching bags or something. They'd probably get a lot of use.
