Amy appeared on the platform and jumped, letting out an "AUGH!" Hadn't she just been in the TARDIS? How did she end up here? She looked all around the stark room, seeing a pedestal in the corner, and then noticed the thin book in her hand. Turning it to read the cover, she murmured out loud, "The Legend of Pandora's Box?" She flipped it open, sure that it was the book from her bedroom back home. How did it get here? Or perhaps a better question was, how did she get here? And what was this weird bracelet on her wrist?
She'd been in plenty of strange situations in the past, and plenty of those separated her from her friend and her husband, so she wasn't as freaked out as she could have been. The Doctor was always able to find her, to save her, and so she was confident that he would do the same now.
Stepping off the platform on which she stood, she called out, "Doctor?" before coming up to a pedestal with some sort of mobile on it. Picking it up caused the door behind her to open, and she quickly spun around, the strange little device still in her hand. Amy moved forward cautiously, sticking her head out the door.
"Doctor! Rory! Oi, anybody there?" She clicked her tongue and stepped out into the hall. "Well this is just great." She picked a direction and headed down the hall, clutching her book and the device as the door slid shut behind her. Pausing to look down at the object in her hand, she wondered if it really was some kind of mobile, and if so, if she could use it to find the Doctor.
She slid the screen down over the keyboard and held it up to her ear, listening. "Can anybody hear me on this thing? Hellllllloooooo." She waited a moment for a response and, when none came, she sighed and held it out to look at the screen. Seeing a button with a picture of a house on it, she assumed it was the home key and so she pressed it. It brought up a map with a colored dot in the middle, labeled, 'Amy Pond.' "Great," she replied with a sigh, "now I know where I am. I'm... in some building in some strange place and I'm a dot on a map. So very helpful, that."
Dropping hand and tablet to her side she decided she would just have to explore, and see if anyone could tell her where she was.

Switching on her tablet, she grins and laughs silently as the girl on the screen pokes around and quickly finds her way out on her own, clearly only somewhat put out by her sudden change in location, rather than upset or bewildered. The chances of this girl knowing her father have just risen exponentially. Fiddling with the buttons one-handed, she turns on her visual.
"Hello," she says sunnily.
[ visual ]
"Hello yourself. Mind telling me where I am?"
[ visual ]
[ visual ]
"Yes! You know the Doctor too? Is he here?" Now that is welcome news. The Doctor can sort everything out.
[ visual ]
"I'm Jenny, who're you, then?" Always nice to meet one of dad's friends. She might have to have a talk with him at some point about his questionable practice of collecting young women, though. People might assume things.
[ visual ]
"Jenny, hi. I'm Amy. Has the Doctor mentioned me by chance? Or Rory. Has he mentioned him?" The smart thing to do would be to ask how she could get in contact with the Doctor, but Amy's brain is getting there, slowly but surely.

"Amy!" he announced loudly, tablet in one hand as he quickly headed for the door. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes? Not literally, of course, but it is good to see you. Well, not so good to see you're here and trapped as well, but that's better than some places you could be, isn't it?"
He smiled at her image and added; "Is Rory with you?"

"We've sort of been kidnapped," he explained to Amy, as though this was something fairly standard she ought to be getting used to by now. "One zap with a teleporter they've got set up, and we're here! Can't even tell anything happened except for the being in an entirely different place."
[Visual]
"All right, kidnapped, yeah." She nodded along as if this was standard practice. "But you've got a plan to get us out of here, right?"
[Visual]
Her question does make him falter a little, the smile waning as his hand comes up to rub at his jaw and tap against his lips lightly. "Oh, you know me. I've got a... thing. That I'm working on."
[Visual]
"Right, sure, a thing. Look, just, can you tell me how to get to where you are? Or can you come find me?"

"I'm Tara. Welcome to, uh, being kidnapped by aliens."
[Visual]
"I'm Amy. Oh yes, this sounds like great fun," she said with a sarcastic edge. She'd met plenty of murderous aliens before, so this was nothing more than an annoyance to her.
[Visual]
Tara's friendliness is genuine, and if there are any aliens watching, she hopes they don't think this is just so they'll bring her cat here. She really would like to help.
[Visual]
"Oh yes. We leave the little things to me." She smiled a bit proudly at that. "Thanks. I'll be sure to let you know if anything comes up. Sometimes I'm surprised the Doctor remembers to tie his shoes in the morning."

The question wasn't really necessary. She recognised the tone of voice that Amy used to call out the Doctor's name. She'd used that tone of voice. But you couldn't afford to take things for granted in Taxon, so she asked it just in case.
"He's here. Sort of." Explaining his appearance might be difficult, though, depending on what she knew about regeneration. "You're in a city called Taxon."
[Visual]
The part that really made Amy smile though was that this was the third young, pretty woman who claimed to know the Doctor. Ok, one of those was his daughter, but still, he definitely had a type he liked to hang around.
"Right, Taxon. And where exactly is Taxon?"
[Visual]
"We don't know. Even the Doctor doesn't know."
[Visual]
"Well, then I guess this is a bit different than what he's come across before." She frowned at that, having a million more questions, but not knowing quite where to start. Then she decided introductions might be a good place.
"So who're you then? I'm Amy."
[Visual]
"Martha," she added with a smile, "Martha Jones."
