02 [accidental visual | location: the nest] special awesome-sauce titles elude me

Eric is pacing the length of his room, completely naked and completely unaware he's being recorded.

The naked part isn't unusual, since he generally tends to sleep that way, and if the tablet had decided to turn itself on just a few minutes prior, that's how he would've been seen. Sleeping like the dead. Literally. Now he's got a concentrated expression on his face and, whether it's a conscious move or not, his hands ball into fists every now and then. He almost looks like a caged animal.

Of course, he has every right to be a little agitated if the dreams he just had are as real as he knows them to be. Not only is his progeny, Pam, in danger of being murdered by the Magister for Eric's involvement in dealing vampire blood for his queen, but the wolves he'd spent centuries hunting have shown up once again. And he's finally found out who their vampire master is. It's the fucking king. It's almost funny, when he thinks about it. Of all people, who would suspect a vampire would be keeping v-fed werewolves as his personal pets and enforcers, let alone a king?

And, of course, Sookie is tangled up in this mess as well. Though it's really not that surprising given what he knows of her personality and the fact that Bill went missing. At least Eric didn't have to put too much effort into finding him again. Small favors.

Godric wakes almost immediately after Eric does, alone in his room. At first, he's unable to pinpoint why his sleep should have been disturbed, but nothing is immediately apparent. All he knows is that for some reason, he feels anxious, agitated--

Ah.

Rising from his bed, he pauses only to slip on a light robe before making his way to Eric's room. He doesn't knock. He opens the door and his eyes seek out his pacing progeny. At length, he speaks.

"Tell me." This is not the first time someone he knows has woken from a dream that was not a dream.

Godric's gaze sharpens and he tenses almost imperceptibly. It had been a consistent frustration throughout their long time together that despite all their efforts, Godric hadn't been able to help Eric track down the one who had killed his human family. Godric had been a very different vampire then, even up to as recently as the second world war, and an oath of the caliber Eric had sworn had still been a legitimate reason to methodically hunt down and destroy an enemy. The Godric of a few months ago on the other hand, might have encouraged Eric to let go of his oath and move on. But he's been reminded all too recently of what it is to crave revenge.

He says nothing, but he doesn't need to. His eyes alone repeat his earlier words. Tell me.
