X: [ voice | location: castle summers' dungeons ] pardon my past
There's an incessant throbbing in Piper's head that just won't go away.
She groans, and opens her eyes. When she does, things start swirling uncontrollably, and the urge to hurl is great. Piper closes her eyes, bites her lip, and rolls to the side until it passes.
Something feels wrong here. It takes her another second to process the fact that she's lying on a cold stone floor, that she's naked, and that her fingers are stinging. Badly. Opening her eyes again, she sees that her hands are bloodied, and that several wooden splinters are still embedded in them.
"How--"
And that's when everything comes crashing down on her - all the memories of the past day, what she's done, what she's become. "No. Oh... oh god." Piper spots her tablet and kicks it away from her, before scrambling to the very corner of the dungeon. She slides down, hugging her knees to her and resting her forehead on them. She doesn't even resist the urge to tremble and sob.

But then, she said 'almost everything'. "I suppose its instincts must have been overpowering," he adds with calculated idleness.

[ she raises her hands. yep, her bloodied fingers are proof of this fact. ]

"Feeling hungry now?"

[ and then she goes silent, as something clicked unexpectedly, in her brain. ]
Have we... have we talked before? I mean, before this conversation. [ she pauses again. ] Your voice is just... really familiar.

"I don't think so. I'm fairly new here, after all." He pauses. "Although it is possible you talked to the impostor who was here before. He's caused me quite a bit of trouble already."

"Someone with my face, using my name, in general wreaking havoc upon the whole of Taxon. At least you have the luxury of knowing what you're supposed to have done."

"And all records have been rather conveniently erased." If only their captors had done a more thorough job-- although the feasibility of wiping every mind clean in Taxon is something he's considered. If it must come to that.
The Master's making his way down the mountain, now, striking out for the nearby tram line that bisects the city.
