With a sigh, Kaylee turns on her--Spencer's--tablet, and does her best to offer a smile up to the citizens of Taxon. While Spencer's body is looking plenty tense (at least she's made it back to the ranch, that's gotta be a plus), his clothing has probably never looked so relaxed. T-shirt, jeans, no vests or collars or ties...

"Alright, this is Kaylee, callin' for a sound off. Who's who? And does anybody know where Malcolm Reynolds, River Tam, 'n Tony Stark might be findin' themselves in all this mess?"

Yeah. Yeah, I'm still me. [ it takes her some more moments before she can add anything to that, as her brain refuses to believe that she's talking to kaylee and not some other stranger. ] Do you know why this is happening?

"Depends on what kind of drink you're referring to because... hi, I'm a vampire now. With a chip!"

She's also worrying about the no-soul issue here as well as whatever's frying her brain whenever she thinks about hurting someone. Issues, Drusilla definitely has them - and now, thanks to alien shenanigans, Cordelia has them too.

"Kaylee? I woke up--"

The large forehead and general man-ness of the person on the tablet doesn't exactly scream 'River Tam,' and somewhere inside River understands that, but she's still assuming Kaylee will just know it's her without proper introduction.

"It wasn't intentional."

"Not sure. Another city glitch, but... Hamsters're really screwin' up, ain't they."

"I promise everything else is in decent order, though. Might have to hatch you some new clothes, dependin' on how long this lasts..."

Kaylee shifts to put her chin on top of her arms, and pouts. "Hopefully it don't last too long."

"I know, mei mei, just. Where you at right now?"

"Weird chest thing? That'd be Tony...and he's in DG's...so they're goin' three-ways as well?" This is more of a mess than Kaylee likes to think about.

"Kaylee, is it everyone? This is Tara - it seems like from the tablets that it's a lot of us."

He sighed.

"Listen, I've been meaning to ask.. you're not... um... scheduled to be starting your... um... anytime soon are you?"

Kate bit her lip as Kaylee made an expression that she didn't think ever belonged on Reid's face.

"This is so weird. Did you know Reid before this?"

"Outside," and her vowels are over-enunciated, almost like an accent from Dyton Colony only... not.

After a moment of rubbing a big Angel-hand over her mouth (as if that would help get rid of the accent) she looks around. She tried to get into Serenity, but that hadn't worked well at all. "Won't let me in."

If Angel's face was capable of full-on pouting, it would be doing that right now.

"Yeah, it's me." Mal doesn't sound too happy with this arrangement, but really, who would blame him? He just woke up in a tree, which isn't the best sleeping place in the world, even for someone who got used to sleeping in trenches or wherever there was a space.

"Knowin' her, she wandered off and is havin' a laugh. Probably the only one here who finds this whole mess funny."

What can he say, this isn't the worst body he could be stuck in. Tony smiles and even laughs a little. It sounds different to his ears, but he didn't expect anything else. "No idea, actually. I still have to track her down." Hopefully whoever has his body isn't doing weird things with it.

"Yeah, guess so. Really just hoping it ends soon and we don't have to figure it all out."

[ angel hasn't left serenity...mostly because figuring out walking on top of getting whatever river's head keeps doing (please, make it stop) under control is near impossible. one thing at a time. the voice on the tablet is most definitely river's, but it's not river doing the driving. ]

River's body is...where it should be, I'm assuming. [ ...that sentence sounded better in his head. or did it? he can't tell. sob how does river mange to function? ] She isn't in at the moment.

"I-it seems like a lot of us did..."

Why do things have to be this strange so soon? She was liking the calm. "Yeah, at least I'm still in the Castle. I-I could have woken up somewhere else."

"Knowin' normal glitches?" She sighs. "This on ain't like to end for another week or so."

"Alright, given the..." She motions down at the body. Given the New Body with its New Parts and all that fantastic business. "How 'bout you?"

None of them are quite happy with it, which is enough to get Kaylee to lean more toward the choking than the laughing. No use in getting him grumpier than he already is.

"Just sent me a ping. She don't find it funny, if that makes you feel any better?"

A pause.

"She's in Angel's body."

No, it really isn't. Kaylee does give him a bit of a look, meant to warn against anything inappropriate. With Spencer's face, it just looks like a disappointed scowl. Oh well.

"Word from Spike says she's Buffy, and from the sound of Buffy bein' 'some bloke with facial hair and a weird chest thing,' I'd say she's got yours."

"...we're havin' another girl's night, when this is over."

She pauses a moment, just long enough to settle back in her chair. "Rules out a proximity thing, then. I got swapped with some guy half across town..."

Rubbing the back of her neck, Kaylee shakes her his head. "Just met him this mornin' in the mirror for the first, and across the network for the second."
