[ Accidental Video ] Your Very Nature is Hazardous to Your Furniture
"--a messy eater, Eric." The tablet focuses on Godric's elbow, very near the screen. Beyond him is a blur of white and red that eventually comes into focus, somewhat alarmingly, into a white couch with blood spilled on it. Visitors will recognize it as one of the couches in the living room at the nest. The stark contrast between white cloth and rich, red blood is rather pretty if you're into that sort of thing.
"Why you insist on white furniture is beyond me." Eric's voice, just off-screen and mildly exasperated.
"I like it. It isn't as if I can't afford to get it reupholstered. But we should probably attempt to clean it." Godric's voice again, serene but vaguely concerned at the last. Then Eric snorts, shifts, and his elbow comes into the shot, a little farther from the tablet, a little closer to the couch. Some of his torso is visible too.
"We should have people for that sort of thing. You shouldn't have to bother with it." Godric's elbow moves up and down as he gives a small shrug.
"I don't mind. Do you want Extras in the nest?" There's a short silence. Eric doesn't respond verbally, but Godric chuckles. "I thought not."

One does not remain a vampire for thousands of years without learning a trick or two for getting blood out of cloth. Still, no matter how many times one does this, it always feels oddly domestic.
[location: the nest]
"After you." Eric gestures for Godric to go ahead of him and start getting what he thought they would need to start the cleaning process.

When Kara alerts Godric the tablet is on, Eric takes over the dabbing. His motions are a lot less patient than Godric's, but it's getting the job done. Mostly. The couch probably won't be the same again after this.

"Thank you. I'm sorry, do we know one another?" He's sure he would remember meeting someone quite so unique.

"...I see. Hello, Kara. Has this happened to many people?" This is not actually what he wants to say. What he wants to say is not fit for polite company and unfairly insults hamsters who are not sentient jackasses.

She should know, considering blood on furniture is something she dealt with a lot.

It doesn't occur to him right off that Drusilla has been a victim of the body-swapping he's just learned about from Kara, because that would require slow, logical thought, and that's something that Godric is quickly becoming incapable of. It's difficult to be logical when overwhelmed with homicidal urges.
[ visual ]
"Um, Godric? Is everything--"
Then it clicks, because not everything is 'all right'. Hello, evidence right here, with the body she's using to express herself. If there's someone out there who hates Drusilla as much as Cordelia does? She's talking to him right now.
"I'm sorry. I should've said something earlier. It's... Cordelia." Awkwardly, she raises a hand and waves. "Hi."
[ visual ]
With the knowledge that this is Cordelia and not Drusilla, Godric simmers down immediately. He is not, however, entirely comfortable or entirely calm. Speaking to a friend through an enemy's face is emotional whiplash at best.
"Cordelia." He pauses, vaguely awkward and distantly outraged. "I don't think I appreciate our hamster friends' sense of humor."
[ visual ]
...well, Cordelia will be a whole lot gladder if she got spared too, but that's just wishful thinking right now.
[ visual ] threadjack!
Once Cordelia clears everything up by revealing she is indeed herself, just in another body, Eric goes over to see who's body she's in, leaving the bloody towel on the couch. He's never heard that voice before and he's certainly never seen her, but if Godric's reaction is anything to go by, well.
"So, who's body do I have the pleasure of looking at?"
[ visual ] oh hai!
"It's... Drusilla's," she replies. "Do you know her, Eric?"
[ visual ] tsk, unruly children~
His expression levels out into something utterly neutral. He can't prevent his feelings from seeping over the bond, but he can keep tight control over his feelings. The fact that this reaction alone is telling is something that Godric does his best to ignore.
[ visual ] tsk, unruly children~
Despite Godric's efforts at keeping his expression neutral and containing his emotions, Eric can still sense the conflict Godric is feeling. Fortunately, Eric has no such issues or worries about making enemies among the vampires here and he would happily do anything to avenge Godric.
[ visual ] aren't we just~
That resolve lasts for all of two minutes.
"So... you know about what happened?"
[ visual ] go to your rooms.

[ visual ] but but but it's not bedtime yet
"Well, at least now you have a face to associate the deeds with," Cordelia says. "Except she really isn't this coherent. Or sane."
[ visual ] don't argue with me, young lady
"No, she isn't. How are you handling this, Cordelia?" Time to change the subject, and it's a pertinent question, besides.
[ visual ] i'm not arguing!
The question makes her sigh and look away. "I'm... as well as I can be," Cordelia replies. "If one doesn't count the suddenly-I'm-a-vamp aspect of it all. And the--cravings." She focuses her attention on the bloodstained couch for a second, before looking at Godric again. She's just drank blood, damnit. Why is she hungry again?

In his agitation, Wesley's forgotten that Godric may still think it's Spike he's dealing with.
"I've heard that your world has a blood substitute. Is it palatable?"

(This being twice his usual size is SO MUCH FUN. Point of fact: bar stools)

Messy, messy.
