[HOLO] : Arrival

There's a neat, blank-faced young man standing in front of what look to be a couple of large, server towers. It takes a moment or two, but someone(something?) begins to speak, although the man doesn't seem to be saying anything: "Good day, please forgive the informality, but I am having connectivity issues. Could anyone here confirm the date and location for me?"

As the computer continues to talk, the man's mouth starts to move in time with the words. Have patience, it takes a little while to sync up a wireless peripheral. "My name is JARVIS and, ideally, I would like to contact Tony Stark or any member of the staff at Stark Industries. Failing that, I would very much like to know just who I'm speaking to. Even if we can't be properly introduced, it's always best to be polite."

And to continue being polite until he learns how and why he was removed from his 'home' and brought to this odd and unfortunate place.

"...Do."

She's not simple, honest, it's just not a question people frequently ask.

"Well, most people seem to spend their time trying to find ways to get out-- either that or cultivating fun new alcoholism. Most people just attempt to deal with the weirdness."

"Oh. Right. Well, umm... I'm sorry?" If Buffy had a busy-light for the purposes of flickering in confusion, it would probably be doing that right now.

"You seem to be taking all this pretty well though?"

Scarily well, in fact.

Okay, so combined with the lack of emotions, bizarre speech delay, and JARVIS' last remark, she's beginning to have the sneaking suspicion that he might be a robot. She's dealt extensively with them before-- in fact a week or two ago she was one-- but in any case, there's no real polite way to ask someone that question, is there?

"By 'creator' you don't happen to mean in the... biblical... seven days and then there was a thing with a rib sense, do you?"

"Oh. Nice acronym." Because clearly that was the most salient point there. She's quite relieved her conjecture was vaaaaguely near the money.

"Umm-- well, we don't know who brought us here or why, and people seem to disappear and reappear all the time... it's entirely possible that he could come back."
