[ Visual | Location: Heading into Wilde ]
Godric's inhuman speed and his poor tablet have never mixed very well. It turns on in mid-air as it goes flying, landing just in time to catch the image of Godric's blur passing by a small crowd of zombies. Godric abruptly stops in a crouch next to the broadcasting tablet as the zombies fall behind him like dominoes, gore spilling from their heads onto the ground where they land.
From a visual perspective, it looks as if the zombies' brains have suddenly and inexplicably exploded at Godric's passing. But a quick glance at the blood covering Godric's hands and forearms tells a different story. Crushing skulls with your bare hands; it's a vampire thing.
The tattoos on Godric's arms and torso are stark against his skin, his shirt discarded as soon as it became apparent this would get messy. With fangs displayed, he makes a positively savage picture, but the expression on his face is calm. Noticing the tablet, he politely detracts his fangs before picking it up and rising to his feet to speak.
"It seems our hamster friends have done something foolish again," he says rather dryly. "I hope those of you who haven't taken it upon yourselves to fight are remaining safe. Sookie, Mister Stackhouse, are you both well? River, Dawn, Kaylee? Should anyone need assistance who does not have it, you need only ask.
"Eric, where have you gotten to? Faith is just behind me; we're heading for Wilde."

He catches her face on the tablet and doesn't recognize it. Her expression is odd. Perhaps she's human, and no one warned her about the vampires in Taxon? It would explain her apparent unease.
"Are you well?" he asks politely.

"Yes," she replies curtly, cocking her head a little as she scrutinizes the other vampire. "That was quite an impressive display. You are old."
No use beating around the bush. He is clearly not concerned about his true nature being revealed so publicly, unlike the vampires from her world.

He nods, his perception of Katherine shifting immediately. The nature of his studying gaze shifts to accommodate, and it's suddenly quite a bit sharper.
"I am."
[ visual ]
Valiantly masking her insecurities before Godric, Katherine conjures up a pleasant smile to her lips. "I'm afraid my astonishment made me neglect any and all manners. How do you do; my name is Katherine Pierce."

Godric is quite accustomed to younger vampires kowtowing to him; back home, in his position as Sheriff, he expected it. The environment here is much more casual, and Godric has never demanded any authority save that he's been handed freely, but his response to a respectful underling is automatic. He's kind and calm, but there's an air about him that practically screams power.

"I admit I'm quite surprised," Katherine says at length, curiosity starting to creep into her tone. "I wasn't aware that there were other vampires here aside from Stefan, Damon and Lexi. You do not find concealment of who you are necessary in Taxon, then?"
[ visual ]
"We did not find concealment necessary any longer in our own world," the plural pronouns should be noted, "so we did not find concealment necessary when we arrived here. Others followed suit. You four are the first vampires to arrive in Taxon who have kept your nature strictly secret."

"How unexpected," Katherine murmurs, before raising a slim brow enquiringly. "We? You have company from your world, then. And 'others' would suggest yet more vampires from different places. This is very interesting, indeed."
Her innate curiosity and Godric's genteel disposition are quickly dissolving the lingering hesitancy she feels.
