Godric's inhuman speed and his poor tablet have never mixed very well. It turns on in mid-air as it goes flying, landing just in time to catch the image of Godric's blur passing by a small crowd of zombies. Godric abruptly stops in a crouch next to the broadcasting tablet as the zombies fall behind him like dominoes, gore spilling from their heads onto the ground where they land.

From a visual perspective, it looks as if the zombies' brains have suddenly and inexplicably exploded at Godric's passing. But a quick glance at the blood covering Godric's hands and forearms tells a different story. Crushing skulls with your bare hands; it's a vampire thing.

The tattoos on Godric's arms and torso are stark against his skin, his shirt discarded as soon as it became apparent this would get messy. With fangs displayed, he makes a positively savage picture, but the expression on his face is calm. Noticing the tablet, he politely detracts his fangs before picking it up and rising to his feet to speak.

"It seems our hamster friends have done something foolish again," he says rather dryly. "I hope those of you who haven't taken it upon yourselves to fight are remaining safe. Sookie, Mister Stackhouse, are you both well? River, Dawn, Kaylee? Should anyone need assistance who does not have it, you need only ask.

"Eric, where have you gotten to? Faith is just behind me; we're heading for Wilde."

Katherine doesn't know Godric, though Godric likely knows about Katherine thanks to Stefan's heads-up when she arrived. As she stares at the feed, it becomes apparent this youthful killing machine is a fellow vampire - and judging by his speed and dexterity, a very old, experienced one. Possibly older than she is, and that thought gives her an uneasy pause. She says nothing, a small frown knitting her brows together as she contemplates this revelation, not really realizing the feed is currently open to both ways.

Godric is partly right; though Katherine hasn't been a human in over 500 years, she did not know that there were other vampires in Taxon save from herself, Stefan, Damon and Lexi. Now, in the middle of a zombie apocalypse of all things, it doesn't seem like such an impossible idea. Katherine wonders why she never thought about the possibility before. She jumps slightly as Godric's address catches her off guard, but recovers admirably swiftly.

"Yes," she replies curtly, cocking her head a little as she scrutinizes the other vampire. "That was quite an impressive display. You are old."

No use beating around the bush. He is clearly not concerned about his true nature being revealed so publicly, unlike the vampires from her world.

Similarly, Godric's affirmation on what Katherine already strongly suspected causes her to regard him more warily, suspiciously. It's nothing personal, Katherine just hasn't had the best of experiences with dealing with Elders. In fact, she's been running for her life from the Originals of her world ever since the day she was turned. To have the normally self-confident (or arrogant) Katherine jumping even at her own shadow, one merely needed to mention the name Klaus.

Valiantly masking her insecurities before Godric, Katherine conjures up a pleasant smile to her lips. "I'm afraid my astonishment made me neglect any and all manners. How do you do; my name is Katherine Pierce."

Katherine dips her chin into a prolonged nod in lieu of greeting. The soft, quiet way about Godric is, truthfully, throwing her off her game just a bit. She can sense his aura of authority and power even though the feed, and yet he seems nothing like the Elders Katherine has dealt with - Godric seems to lack the chilling, forceful edge that the Originals have, the vibe that reminded younger vampires that every moment they spent within their proximity could be their last. Katherine can't quite decide which is more intimidating.

"I admit I'm quite surprised," Katherine says at length, curiosity starting to creep into her tone. "I wasn't aware that there were other vampires here aside from Stefan, Damon and Lexi. You do not find concealment of who you are necessary in Taxon, then?"

Katherine indeed pays attention to the plural, always conscientious of what exactly was being said around her and moreover, exactly what she said herself. She takes a few moments to mull over the idea of a world where vampires could conduct themselves without the need for secrecy.

"How unexpected," Katherine murmurs, before raising a slim brow enquiringly. "We? You have company from your world, then. And 'others' would suggest yet more vampires from different places. This is very interesting, indeed."

Her innate curiosity and Godric's genteel disposition are quickly dissolving the lingering hesitancy she feels.
