The tablet turns on to show a blurry hand, then the hand draws back and one would be able to see a large, muscular man sitting at the kitchen table of the Frye ranch house, a multitude of guns spread out before him. Also in front of him is a soft cloth, several cleaning brushes in various sizes, cloth patches, and bottles of solvent. One gun has already been disassembled and is right in front of him.

"With all the decomposin' nightmares walkin' around this here place, my guns got a nice workout. I'm wonderin' how many of ya used guns against 'em, instead of just sticks and pipes."

He picks up a bottle of solvent and saturates a cloth patch. "Hell, I'll use whatever's handy, but there ain't nothin' like blowin' out zombie brains with one of these lil' darlin's." Plus killing at a distance means no muss, no fuss, and for a man who is always stuck with the cleaning up, that's a good thing.

As he starts on the gun barrel, he doesn't say anything, just cleans away and moves on to other parts of the handgun in front of himself. For someone with such large hands and fingers, he treats each piece delicately and with care. After all, his guns could be the only things between him and certain death, so they are some of the only things he treats with respect.

He also seems to have forgotten to turn off his tablet. It's only when he finishes with his gun and puts it back together in several fluid movements that he catches sight of it out of the corner of his eye.

"Gorramit," he mutters under his breath. A hand comes toward the camera. "Never gonna get the hang of this piece of--" The video cuts out as he turns it off.

[Jayne gives a grunt, which means he agrees.]

Most fun too, though one said he ran 'em over, which gotta be gorram satisfyin'.

[ Rick is used to animal-like responses. He can thank his best friend and wife for that.

But he doesn't think he can completely agree with Jayne's statement. ] I wouldn't say I've enjoyed myself anytime when firing a gun--especially in a life or death situation....but I may be biased.

[ He's got to remember he's not the deputy around here and doesn't need to go 'Moming' on everyone. ]

[It's a good thing this is voice, because Jayne has the most incredulous look on his face right now.] You wanna those pansy-assed pacifist types?

[ It was a very good thing it was just a voice. Rick would easily forget there was no jurisdiction around here. ] I'm a deputy (or he was), and any time I've fired my gun there's been a life at stake. Killin' isn't a sport.

Ohhh, one 'a those types. [He snorts.] Only lives at stake was ours. Them Extras weren't never alive to start with, way I hear it.

[ He doesn't like your tone, sir, but he'll stay civil. ] That's completely different...aren't they programs?

[Most people don't.] S'what my friend said they was. [In the background, there's the sound of a gun being reassembled.]

Then how were they able to 'kill' some of the civilians? [ At least he thought they had. Rick wasn't too sure of much now adays. ]

Hell if I know. I ain't been here long myself, but even if I'd been, I wouldn't know. Seems no one knows how this fei hua* happens.

[fei hua = nonsense]

I see. [ He didn't really follow with a little of the dialect, but it wasn't hard to understand what the man was saying. ] That seems to be the case with everything around here.

[He gives another grunt.] Anyone here who acts like they know it all is just puttin' on appearances. We're all in the ruttin' dark. 'Least the food's better then what I got back home.
