"Sorry 'bout that," Rick began, not wanting to cause any disrespect. If individuals believed they held titles that they've earned, it wasn't his business to determine what they should or shouldn't be called. He sighed and nodded at Smecker's admission about their jurisdiction. "I guess not. But it doesn't mean we can't honor what they stood for."
He listened carefully in about the vampires, not at all liking what he was hearing. At least with zombies they'd had the advantage of an advanced mind. And speed. with these vampires? It didn't seem the case. "I've been told that there are those who do engage with them on regular basis, even as far as fixing minor...issues. Perhaps some sort of understanding could be made or acknowledged."
Rick indeed was that sort of cop, that sort of man. He believed in doing what was right and devoted himself to the aspect. "Probably for the best it's kept quiet for now. Should they come to know and not like it, I wouldn't want them to express their feelings in a negative manner before we can even try to find a settlement. But that is a very good idea, Agent Smecker." He was glad there was such a variety of law enforcement around. Even if he didn't know the aspects of each of their divisions. They seemed like devout people to their job, and it would be all the more to bring to the table.
