now i rock a house party at the drop of a hat.

It's around five o'clock in the morning when the citizens of Taxon find themselves inexplicably transported into rooms within the Sanctuary. Doors are left open and beds unmade, food abandoned and lights left on, still shining brightly for those who were awake and are no longer present. The Extras don't seem to notice the captive population's sudden disappearance, continuing on with their business as usual.

For those relocated, though, it's an entirely different story.

They find themselves in rooms with white, alabaster walls that gives them an almost too-clean feeling, as if the entire place was sanitized prior to their arrival. The room assignments are seemingly random, people placed on floors with those they don't know and don't like, people they would rather not be within twenty feet of. It matters not, for what's done is done and cannot be undone. For those who happen to have pets, they'll find them waiting for their owners in the rooms as if nothing is out of the ordinary.

The only thing the captives have managed to bring with them is the clothes on their back and the tablets. On them, they find the following message:
SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE PLEASE ENJOY YOUR STAY WHILE WE ADDRESS CERTAIN TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
Unfortunately for those who try to find a means of escape, they'll discover there is none. Leaving the Sanctuary will prove to be as difficult as leaving Taxon itself. However, if one heads down the right corridor and the right floor, they'll find something else entirely lurking in their midst...

( ooc | sorry for the delay in posting! your mods were otherwise occupied with things of the irl variety this morning. THIS BE A PARTY POST, Y'ALL. room assignments are here, and refer back to the sott post proper for any additional information. please contact us with any questions/concerns you may have in regards to this plot. ♥ )

"Funny," Paul say tersely. "What with you saying that you don't have any problems eating warm fresh blood, it really sounded that you were talking about you and not the other vampires present. Don't know how I could have possibly gotten that misimpression.

"At the moment, I actually agree with you it's not the brightest thing for him to be doing, and I'm heading down there to stop him. With that said--

"--are you fucking TRYING to ensure that the 'herd' starts trying to cut up furniture for stakes? Because as a mere goddamn mortal, hearing your little fucking terrifying speech right there isn't doing a whole lot to make me regard any of you as anything but a monster I should be defending myself and others against.

"You want to persuade people to do a mutually beneficial thing, maybe try not painting a vivid picture of you slaughtering them, there's a pro-fucking-tip."

And maybe people'd be more willing to give y'all a reason to trust them if folks quit actin' like any second there's gonna be a damn massacre. Blaming every vampire for things that happened when a poor little girl got glitched is just downright unfair. You and I don't have to prove anything, why should they?

Excuse me? You're accusing us of overreacting when a girl was attacked yesterday and no one's done a goddamn thing to find out who's responsible.

And by no one, you mean vampires. Because Lord knows they all can just tell what happened simply by hearin' about it.

[ 8| forever, don. ]

Lookin' for somebody to blame's human, but what you're doin' is only going to make people scared and angry, and it won't help a single bit. Quinn's a sweetheart and I want to find out who hurt her as bad as anybody, but going around actin' like every single vampire here's to blame isn't the way to do it.

Don't tell me what I mean. By no one, I mean no one. People should be scared and angry because there's a monster on the loose and instead of trying to track them down and contain them we have people like you apologizing for them.

People like me. [ DANGER, DON DRAPERSON. DANGER. she's heard way too many people call her a fangbanger in just that tone to stop and think about what he might mean that isn't "vampire loving slut". ] You mean anybody who'd rather take some time and think instead of tryin' to set themselves up as the man starvin' all the people he calls monsters? Is that what people like me are?

And how are we gonna track down whoever did it? I'm sorry if you'd rather punish innocent people than do anything useful, but we all gotta live together and you're not makin' it better for anybody.

Go back to bed, Miss Stackhouse. It sounds like you could use the rest.

And of course you'll have no trouble sleeping.
