[visual | location: library] Sweet revenge for what you’ve done to me
It's been a few days, but still, Willow is officially Not. Pleased. Too many things have happened in too short a time. Added to that the little encounter she had with an actual hamster alien and she is angry. The days have not cooled off her temper. In fact, the added time has just made it worse. People have been hurt lately, two of her friends in a close span of time, and as the resident witch, she's starting to think this is going to be her job to sort out. Just what she wanted.
So, she camps out in the library and flips open her tablet, forgetting for a moment what the crackling of her power is going to be doing to her physical appearance. Her hair is still red, clothes still normal, but her eyes are pitch black and when people start to arrive, anyone with any kind of ability to sense power will be able to feel the magic coursing through her. This is a witch not to be messed with.
And when in doubt, blame the hamsters. It's always their fault.
"Okay, whatever is going on needs to stop. I don't like this prison within a prison thing and I don't think anyone else does. And too many people are getting hurt. So. We're going to stop it. I've talked to one of the hamsters. Not long, but it was enough. I want a longer talk. If anyone's interested, meet me in the library on the fifth floor. I have an idea."
[ ooc: the official planning post is HERE. I just figure she'd be the one to get this ball rolling! Library comment thread / tracking down the hamster will come once I figure out interest. (there will be links once comment threads get posted.) Feel free to just respond to her post (if you don't want to turn up for the meeting) or just turn up at the library. She will respond either way.
Let me know if this works / doesn't work for people, hit up the planning post so we can figure things up and tag in over here as you see fit! ]

What's a "glitch"?
[Voice]
Uh... when something goes wrong in Taxon, like when someone who isn't a vampire becomes one o-or otherwise suddenly acts or thinks really strange things. It's called a glitch here. [ pause. ] Not to be confused with the person called Glitch.
[Voice]
[He pauses.] What happened to you? Are you okay?
[Voice]
[ nooot answering the 'what happened' question. she pauses a bit. ]
They made my magic take over. I don't really... know what it was, but I tried to hurt people. I just want to know... why they did it.
[Voice]
I can't think of any reason they could have had for that. [He frowns, unseen.]
Was it on purpose, do you think? Or are glitches accidental sometimes?
[Voice]
I don't know and I don't want to know. It's never gonna happen again if I can help it. I don't like doing things like that, Connor. It's not right.
[ and that is... only part of her beef with the aliens. welcome to the world that is 'the witch hates the aliens,' connor. ]
If I knew, I'd stop it. It's not fair to people, or right.
[Voice]
Nobody should be able to.
[Voice]
And I'm gonna make sure the aliens know that!

"Willow...are you? Are you okay?"

"Hi, Quinn. Yeah, I'm fine. Really. Just a little annoyed with the hamsters." And that's putting it mildly. "How are you doing? Feeling okay?"

DG had made that much perfectly clear in the past and would continue to do so for as long as it was necessary. She wasn't the only witch in residence and if there was anything they could do to help then they would do it together.
Although it was difficult to look serious in a pair of pyjamas, DG was suitably business like when she joined Willow in the library.
"What did the hamster say?"
threadjack y/n?
Where DG went, Glitch was sure to follow. He couldn't help with anything magical but maybe he could coax his half-a-brain into coming up with other ideas.
At the very least he could show sleepwear solidarity.
anyone can threadjack this one! \o/
"Thanks, guys," she answered, offering them chairs to sit down in. "Not much, really. It blamed someone called Mayhem and then promised to tell Mayhem that I wanted to talk to him. Not sure it helped much, but at least I know it got my point."
Yay, threadjacks!
And very appropriate, given the mayhem that the captors created in their city. She wondered - not for the first time - how much of the damage was accidental and how much of it was deliberate.
"I wonder if he'll turn up."
[Visual]
Martha sounded surprised, but not skeptical. During her time in the city, the hamsters - if they really were hamsters - had occasionally deigned to speak to their prisoners. The question was whether they'd said anything useful.
"Did you find anything out?"
[Visual]
"Not really. I-it was a lot of chasing and yelling. It seemed scared of me and said someone named Mayhem 'did it.' Not really sure what that means..."
Aside from this Mayhem being, apparently, responsible for her glitch. She wasn't sure what to think of that.
[Visual]
Weird or not, it was the most promising lead that the prisoners had received in a very long time.
"Did it? Then maybe this Mayhem was the alien that brought us here?"
Either into the Sanctuary or into the city itself. And the fact that the hamster was afraid of them was certainly interesting.
[Visual]
It couldn't hurt at this point.
[Visual]
"Will you be all right if he tracks you down? We don't know what he is or what he can do."
[Visual]
For now.
[Visual]
[Visual]
Well, provoke them further anyway.
"But thanks. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."
[Visual]
[Visual]
"But I want answers more than I want revenge, so I'm gonna get me some answers!"
[Visual]
"So do I," she said, her relief probably showing in her face, "We just need to hope that they put in another appearance."
[Visual]
"I know they will. But I have to go find them."
[Visual]
"Good luck."
[Visual]
Although B'Elanna didn't know Willow, the half klingon was eager for any scrap of information that she might be able to put to good use. Like the rest of the prisoners, she was tired of being treated like a chess piece in a game without any particular rules. If they were going to fight back, then nothing would stop her from taking part.

Re: [Visual]
"This Mayhem could be the alien in charge. Maybe the hamster was just a worker."
[Visual]
"I don't know. But if I can catch them, I'm gonna find out."
[Visual]
"You'll have the whole city behind you."
