Perhaps it's the events the past few weeks with zombie Extras and cakes from nowhere, but Kaylee's feeling more than a bit restless. There wasn't much to repair on Serenity after the glitch, thankfully, but it has left the mechanic with little to do. Even the ranch didn't have much in the way of work for the moment, and she can only work on the drill for so long before she feels like she's just going in circles and wasting time.
The clear answer is to walk the frustrations out. It's nice enough today, and Kaylee feels that a walk is exactly what she's been needing. No zombies waiting to attack, no worries over where her wiring has gone wrong, just a nice simple walk between Kaylee and the city.
For the moment, she's standing outside Fangtasia, peering curiously at the doors. How she had managed to wander her way here she doesn't quite know, but Eric had extended an invitation to come and see the club several months before (has it really been that long?). It's about time Kaylee took him up on that offer, she decides, and steps forward through the doors.
The main room, for the time being, is quiet. Kaylee takes several careful steps inside, making note of the decor, and rests a hand on the counter of the bar. It's almost like stepping into Inara's shuttle, with all of the reds and blacks, though everything is much darker. Still, Kaylee isn't at all surprised at how clean the place seems to be. With how anal Godric seems to be about his white furniture, Eric probably isn't much farther off when it comes to his own property.
Speaking of.
Kaylee runs her hand along the counter as she takes a few more steps in, trying to get a decent look around for a door to a backroom. "Eric? You about?"

Sliding her tool bag off of her shoulder, Kaylee takes the chair and places the bag against the side. "Bit of conversation'd do well all around, but I don't got much more in mind. I've been a bit quiet lately, thought it was about time I got out and started seein' folks. That, and I wanted to take a good look around this place of yours." She motions around the room, eyes up to take in every detail they could. "Real shiny place, too."

"How's your friend? The one Godric is so fond of. River." Ah, small talk, how he hates it. But he's not going to be rude. He saves that for particularly annoying acquaintances and customers.

The mechanic tears her eyes away from the stage (and the images of what probably happens on it that have popped into her mind) and smiles back at Eric. "River, yeah. She's doin' good, I think, good as she can be considerin'. Just had a birthday."
