[opposite event] This is a story all about how Taxon got flipped, turned upside down.
The idea, as it had been initially presented, was for citizens to experience what it was like to walk in someone else's shoes. In practice it became discovering what it was like to walk in their own shoes, if their taste in shoes were suddenly quite different from normal. The footwear still fit and was comfy, but the style was quite different.
For two weeks the prisoners of Taxon swapped their utilitarian Doc Martin's for trendy Louboutins (or vice versa) and all manner of shenanigans reigned.
[ OOC: Trying something new! this is basically a LOG POST where everyone can consolidate their opposite plot doings in one location for optimal organization. How it will work:
→ tag in with your character being affected by the opposite plot.
→ include the dates they will be affected!
→ others will tag you with reactions, and you can tag them!
You are of course free to make your own posts as well. Have fun! ]

[Location: Central]
The people of Taxon. The ones she was sent here to protect, to comfort, to shelter, to turn on their lights if their power went out. Maybe perform light shows, if the entertainment made people happy.
Re: [Location: Central]
"That's pretty much what we bonded over when I picked you up. Remember?"
[Location: Central]
"Then you don't know me at all," she answers, but for some reason she can't quite grasp, his statements shake her. She ignores it, not letting this one get the best of her. "I remember you whisking me away and trying to get me to join your band of killers," she continues, showing that you could never take too many liberties with interpretation.
[Location: Central]
"I'm never a killer. Or, maybe I was a little violent, but it's only what I learned. How to survive.... Shit, we once kinda bonded over that. Why be--"
He trails off. "I mean, we don't know each other. That's why I want to get to know you more."
[Location: Central]
That's what selflessness was all about, right? Putting yourself at risk for others, caring only about them.
But she looks at Party, carefully. She'd been on the wrong path, once. Maybe Party had, too. He was less boisterous, less hyper, less lingo-spouting, after all. "The only thing you need to know about me is right on my chest," she says, deadpan.
She means, of course, the letters E.G. planted on her outfit, but oblivious Electro Girl is oblivious.
[Location: Central] lmfao
"...I..."
He falters, and his face is red, and he looks at her chest before hazel eyes quickly look back up at her eyes. Or, not quite her eyes. More her chin, because he isn't sure that was a proper thing to do.
"...I don't know how to respond," He answers earnestly, staring.
[Location: Central] there are no words
What is he, stupid?
"It's what I am. What I've always wanted to be, even if I didn't know it."
[Location: Central]
"A girl?" He asks, voice timid.
[Location: Central]
"Yes!" She says, loud and suddenly and triumphantly. She is just a girl, one who was born to help people with her special powers. "A special girl."
[Location: Central]
Party's timid smile becomes more sheepish, and for a brief moment he takes on Kobra Kid's still-yet-awkward mannerisms, flashing a tentative grin before returning back to the sheepish curl of the lips.
"Well, you are," He agrees, and then tilts his head to the side. "And now you fight crime, is that what this is?"
[Location: Central]
[Location: Central]
And, a shy smile.
"But I'm happy you're looking out for me. Even if you think I'm doing illegal things."
[Location: Central]
"Someone in this place needs to watch out for that stuff," she says with a prideful shrug.
[Location: Central]
"I just think it'd be easier if everyone was a little happier about all this," He confesses. "Focus on here instead of all that couldn't be. So you're doing a good job."
[Location: Central]
Whereas the old Gwen would have given a skeptical look--all raised eyebrows and knowing smirk, and made some smartass remark--Electro Girl smiles proudly. "Thank you. You make sure to behave yourself, Party--Gerard."
[Location: Central] Late! D:
"Electro Girl, I mean. Mikey and I, we won't get in your hair. But if something big comes up, let me know. I know how to jimmy more than a few things. You're a better fighter than me, but.." He trails off, shrugging.
[Location: Central] wayy later
Well, yeah, she totally good. Superpowers, remember? But it was an option she'd file away, nonetheless, for later. If it steered Party even further from his path of bombings and killjoying, then that was killing two birds with one stone.
"I'll remember that." What's that? A sincere smile? "Thanks."
[Location: Central] psssht whatever
"I mean--bombs and..guns and..I'd only pick that sort of stuff up if you really needed it, Gwen." He pauses for a very long moment (or what it feels like to him) and looks at Gwen, ridiculous superhero outfit, ridiculous personality change, and can't help but beam.
"Got your back."
