[opposite event] This is a story all about how Taxon got flipped, turned upside down.

The idea, as it had been initially presented, was for citizens to experience what it was like to walk in someone else's shoes. In practice it became discovering what it was like to walk in their own shoes, if their taste in shoes were suddenly quite different from normal. The footwear still fit and was comfy, but the style was quite different.

For two weeks the prisoners of Taxon swapped their utilitarian Doc Martin's for trendy Louboutins (or vice versa) and all manner of shenanigans reigned.

[ OOC: Trying something new! this is basically a LOG POST where everyone can consolidate their opposite plot doings in one location for optimal organization. How it will work:
→ tag in with your character being affected by the opposite plot.
→ include the dates they will be affected!
→ others will tag you with reactions, and you can tag them!

You are of course free to make your own posts as well. Have fun! ]

"Great!" she exclaimed, with genuine delight and even more genuine relief. That would make things a lot easier. "I won't be long. Just stay where you are and keep watching the fish, ok?"

It was fortunate that she was naturally patient enough to deal with Glitch when he was like this. And, even if she hadn't been, she'd have found a way to manage it.

"Oh, I will," Glitch replied, chuckling . "Hey, somebody outta, you know, name them. I-i-it's good for thing to have names."

And that's precisely what he went back to doing. Because.

At the moment, she was just glad that he remembered her name and had a reasonable idea of who he was.

She reached the fountain as quickly as she could, half running and half jogging and eventually walking the last few metres to greet him.

"Glitch?"

"...and--"

Yeah, the routine had started over again, but he's distracted by her greeting. Glitch grinned hugely and half-jogged over to meet her. "DG! Hi, I-- whoops." He tripped on some uneven pavement (or possibly nothing) but caught himself before falling. "Ha, th-that was close. I-I-I'm so glad to see you, how'd you find me?"

"I've always been good at finding you," she pointed out. Even when she'd returned to the O.Z with no memories of her previous life there, they'd managed to find each other. Even when they'd been brought to Taxon.

She looked him up and down, smiling in relief when it became apparent that he was all right. At least physically.

"With this," she added, holding up her tablet. "As long as you're wearing that bracelet ..." - she tapped the appropriate wrist with a finger - "... it can record where you are and let me know."

He nodded cheerfully in agreement because yes, she was good at finding him. Good thing too, since he was always getting lost what with the half-a-brain and all.

"What a nifty doohicky," Glitch said and stared at the tablet. Then he blinked and gasped. "Oh wait! I I I think I've got one too!" He fished his tablet out of his coat pocket and held it up triumphantly.

"Hey, this is the thingy I was talking to you with before." Pause. "Oh, right! Ha! I was talking to you before, that-that's why you...right."

"It's called a tablet," said DG with infinite patience and, underneath that, concern that she did her best to keep concealed from Glitch. Although it didn't change her affection for him - this wasn't his fault - she was worried about the trouble that Glitch would get himself into while this lasted. "You can use it to talk to anyone in the city."
