一[Holo] Honestly, I don't associate with petty thieves anymore...
There is very little doubt in Inara's mind, when it comes right down to it, who is likely to blame for this, whatever this is.
One moment she had been with the novices...they would never really be Companions, not really, but she and Sheydra were doing their best for them. She was showing them the proper form for holding a bow and arrow, but very few of them had the strength for it. Still, she was patient and showed the closest girl at hand how to extend her arm fully...
As the girl loosed the arrow and at the very least hit the target, if not anywhere near the center, she excused herself and sat down for a moment. She was easily fatigued these days. Closed her eyes and opened them--
And now she is here.
Standing and speaking clearly, her chin tilts up and her shoulders squared in a manner that she hopes fully communicates that she is in no way intimidated or worried, she smiles in a friendly but neutral manner at nothing in particular. Someone must be watching even if the room seems empty.
"Hello?" She says in a pleasant voice but one pitched to carry, turning in a slow circle with her hands folded in front of her as she examines the featureless walls. "I believe there may have been a misunderstanding of some kind, I am Inara Serra of House Madrassa and a Companion fully registered with the Guild. If you have questions I'd be more than happy to answer them, but I believe that there really should be some form of due process, shouldn't there?"
When no answer is forthcoming she starts to eye the device on the pedestal nearby, approaching it cautiously. "I really wouldn't want to have to bring this to the Guild's attention, there are very specific laws about holding a Companion against her will..."
And still there is no answer, and so she picks up the device. Some kind of communications device? There is a map of some kind displayed, and an indicator that moves as she points the device in different directions.
It's only now that she's looking at the device in her hand that she notices her wrist. In amongst the bangles and bracelets there is a new one, tight and gold and close to her skin. Did she...no. This isn't hers. She has quite a lot of jewelry but she remembers what she did and didn't put on. And it's tight enough that there's no way to remove it that she can see, not without cutting or breaking it somehow.
Réncí de Fózŭ had she been kidnapped somehow? Right out of the Training House? She holds the tablet a bit more closely, starting to get visibly more anxious as her eyes move around the room rapidly. "Show yourselves, whoever you are...it really would be for the best if you just avoided this kind of trouble and returned me to New Melbourne..."
In her agitated state, it doesn't even occur to her to try the door.

"So far as I can tell, no one's been here long. People only seem to have started arriving a few days ago. I could be wrong, but I haven't spoken to anyone who's been here any longer."

The place doesn't look elaborate enough to be a laboratory or the home of some eccentric wealthy person, nor does it look awful enough to be some sort of human trafficking ring or kidnapping racket. It just looks like...a rather low-level dingy hotel on one of the Core planets. Looking again to the flashing on what looks like a map display on her tablet she takes a few experimental steps in the direction of that indicator.
