013: [Location: Central, Kaylee's Ranch // Visual] Come Sail Away

In the middle of the Central district, on the edge of Kaylee Frye's Ranch, is a familiar '67 Chevy Impala. And sitting on the hood of that familiar '67 Chevy Impala is a familiar face, relaxing and basking in the sun. The admittedly fake sun, but hell, Dean's not complaining. He's got a cooler full of various alcoholic beverages sitting on the ground next to his car, a basket of fruit sitting next to him on the hood, and the casette he's got playing in his car's set to various classic rock songs.

All in all, a perfect setting for hanging out.

His tablet's switched on to visual without his realizing, so people watching will be able to see part of his face, the beer bottle in his hand, and the open sky above him. Occasionally he sings along with the song in the background, though it's usually low and under his breath. He's not exactly craving company, but hell, he wouldn't mind it.

[any and all are welcome. C'mon. Even if you don't know him!]

Faith and Dean as friends, planning things, partying - maybe Giles will wish that they didn't get along at all when he finds out. Oh dear. As for trusting Dean, Giles is slow to trust most people. He's wary of anyone who gets as close to Buffy as Dean has apparently gotten. With good reason, given some of her past associations. But he warmed to Xander and Anya and Willow (though that didn't take much) and he'll grow to trust Dean eventually. Probably.

"I'm sure we have more then that in common." More then Dean may ever know, if Giles can help it. He doesn't like sharing his past, not even with those he now considers family. "Possibly even things not involving hunting evil."

"A hunter?" It's been years since he's heard the phrase applied to what they do, but it's true enough.

"I suppose I am, though it's more my job to train others, specifically Slayers. I'm a Watcher." A title which holds little meaning now, since the Battle with the First and the destruction of the Council. He's one of a very few now, a fact that he's yet to deal with. There is no time during battle to grieve for those lost to the war.

"More organized? Yes, I suppose so. We have been doing this for... well the earliest records I've read are more then fifteen centuries old." Half of those are gone now, however, burnt up.

"Things with Buffy are never quite as organized or... predictable as one might expect with all that history. She has - she does things her own way."
