02 [Location: Castle Summers ] - Moving Day!
Buffy invited Spike to live in the castle.
So, here he is, at the castle door. Maybe he should have checked the tablet thingy to see if Buffy was here before he showed up but he didn't exactly have a lot of things to pack. In fact, he has a suitcase that seems to have had a hard time recently and nothing else.
So, does anyone hear it if you knock on a castle door? He hasn't been in a castle in a significant number of years and doesn't recall having knocked when he was in on last. He needs a cigarette in the worst way.

Buffy shrugs, fiddling with the seam on her chair.
"It was the same up through Sunnydale going boom, right? Obviously we split off from there."
no subject
Spike looks at her, trying to figure it out.
no subject
"Yeah, we had that too. That's apparently while I was in Cleveland... didn't see you until we all showed up in LA for the final showdown. It was... it was a bit of a shock."
no subject
"It has to have been something just after the end, I imagine."
no subject
That was a major unexpected glitch in their plans -- their army of powerful women, reduced in a second back to only a few that were then picked off one by one.

"Good point. I'm guessing that might be where things went all pear-shaped differently than your pear-shaped Angel troubles."
no subject
Spike chuckles softly, "Then again, it might not be a large thing that would be different to start with."
no subject
Buffy leans her head on her hand, smiling back across at him.

Like that was the one thing she'd be waiting for.

She shrugs. Questions with no easy answers, in her opinion.

Spike leans back in his chair, looking toward her.

There's some hand waving, as she tries to find the right words.
"Things were going in a Direction that I was interested in exploring."

She's kinda flailing now, getting up to pace a little.
"I guess we don't really have any place to go on dates or anything, but are we trying for the sort of thing that involves ice cream sundaes and moonlit walks?"
no subject
He shrugs, lifting a shoulder, "Not much else to do around here, it seems, is there?"
no subject
It does seem like she's asking more out of curiosity than anything else, paused a few feet into her pacing.

"We've got a lack of world-ending, it seems. There's less of a need to carb up for a busy day of... walking around doing nothing."
Not that it's bothering her.
Ok, maybe it is a little bit.

Spike smiles at her, "What is your favorite food, anyway, pet?"
no subject
"Waffles. With strawberries, and real maple syrup on the side."
Just like Mom used to make.
no subject
Spike seems amused by that concession.
no subject
"It keeps them from getting soggy! Plus you can dip your bacon in it."
