She isn't sure on the exact moment that she woke, or even the moment that she reached for the device looking for some form of answer. But when she did reach for the device, quickly flipping it on to the video feed, she was looking more confused (and possibly scared) then anything.
"Hello?" She says almost cautiously, letting her brow furrow into a deep thought, as she quietly attempts to find her next few words, all while continuing to try and make sense of this sudden loss of time she was now experiencing.
"Does anyone know what day it is?" She asks with a clear confusion in her tone, hoping to gain some type of understanding to things. It's clear she doesn't know what the answer should be right then, as she can't help but look slightly more lost then anything, turning her attention towards the plant (that she could have sworn she just potted) that now clearly looked in serious need of some watering just off to the right of her.
A long pause, and she is looking back into the feed, adding for some clarification: "I mean, I remember doing something and then suddenly..." She stops then, looking briefly back over towards the plant again. "What just happened?"
Because clearly something had to have happened and if this was one of those glitches she had heard about, she just wants to make sense of it all.

Spike pauses and then he realizes he has no idea what day it is either, "Doesn't the tablet thing tell you? It does everything else, doesn't it?"
no subject
"Uh...I don't know." She starts unsure, looking back over towards her plant, then back at the tablet and the man on it. "My plant wasn't dead just a bit ago." So time had to have past for that to happen - at least that is her assumption.

"Yeah. A plant." She said then, reaching over to pull the potted plant into clear view. "Plants don't just die in a matter of moments."

"I have no idea what happened then." A beat and she is adding with a faint snort. "But my plant died."

visual;
"Do you know what happens to them when this happens?" She asks with a curiosity, hoping her friend perhaps shed some light on things when they had this happen to them.
visual;
She wasn't the information guru, after all. She was just a woman trying to live here and at least settle in as much as possible while waiting for someone to figure out how to get out of here.
visual; sob. i'm so slow, sorry about that.
visual; it's fine! ♥

"Another symptom of being here," she says. "Sometimes people get...put on hold, I guess. Doesn't happen very often, but I know a guy or two. Guess you're part of the club, now."
[visual]
"I mean, what exactly happens when you get put on hold?"
[visual]
She shrugs, vaguely remembering a girl who popped up wondering why it was snowing, and her own friend Party, who'd missed a whole lot of action and showed up without his favorite jacket. "Kinda creepy, not gonna lie. I'm guessing like the others, you don't remember anything?"
[visual] sorry this is slow >>
A small crinkle of her nose, and she is letting out a deep sigh, her hand rubbing at the back of her neck as she thought out her next few words. "I honestly don't remember much - aside from Arthur inviting everyone over." Which she honestly leaves her with a load of questions - namely; why the hell Arthur didn't notice she was gone.
"Honestly - this is all way too unbelievable if you ask me."
[visual] totallly okay!

"They take moments and hours, and days when it pleases them. So far, we've discovered no ill effects from this. Poor comfort though that may be."

"And it's just completely random then -- no particular thing anyone does sets it off?" assuming she herself perhaps did something that would have caused this sudden incident to happen.

"'Annoying' is an understatement, miss. Many things in Taxon will likely arouse your fury, should you be here long enough. And when you have had your fury and screamed and shouted, then you will likely still be here." He shrugs one shoulder.
"One cannot exist in a state of rage forever.
"As for whether something triggers it? Not that we have been able to deduce. We are the mercy of creatures who seem to operate on amusement, miss, and there is no logic or pattern to be found in that."
im so sorry this is slow >>
"I admit, you are right on the whole rage thing. I mean," She started with a shrug of her shoulder and crinkle of her nose. "I've never been one that lets anger sit for too long. But there honestly is too many questions that have been left unanswered here. And all I can do is sit and wonder; just when I will go home?"
A pause, her expression softening slightly then as she curiously adds: "So if you have a good solution to my constant need for understanding here, I'd honestly love to here it."
np
He listened, politely, head tilted a bit to one side. Then he offered the young woman a rueful semi-smile.
"Accept that there are mysteries? I do not know what to tell you. I have been here eighteen months, miss Ariadne; you are far from the only one who wonders when you will 'go home'. Perhaps the answer may be to busy yourself with other questions, as yet unasked."

[ Arthur's been in the basement. When the visual pops on he immediately ran up, and his confusion is immediate. ]
I thought you were--[ He trails off. Were what? It's not like he ever asked much about her personal life. They were business partners. A student and a mentor. ]
location | action...oh look, it's the roomie. <3
You thought I was what, Arthur? [ she asks honestly curious, as she assumed he would have perhaps taken notice to her lack of appearance there. though she honestly isn't even sure she knows how long she was gone for. (but still :/) ]
