07 [Visual and Physical Location: Central | Open] A new house, a new start and breakfast
Moving multiple times in a short period of time is not something that Madelyne is happy about but, at the same time, she now has a house. She has a house of her own and so far she is still finding all of the things she loves about it. It isn't something she's ever really thought about having or doing. Owning a house seemed far too normal for the life she had been living back home and she feels that way, somewhat, here as well. Living in Sanctuary, however, was something like living in a hotel.
This morning, she's made breakfast. She's made far more breakfast than she's going to be able to eat alone. It is even possible that she's made more breakfast than she and Scott can eat, though waffles and pancakes and such things can be frozen for days where she isn't feeling anywhere near as industrious. This morning, though, she's out on her porch swing with plate of pancakes, her tea service and a few other odds and ends. Knees pulled up on the swing with her, she watches the steam curl off the surface of her cup of tea in the early morning light.

"There were days where I would just take long walks and explore, until walking became too much of a hassle."

"You made me pie." It was not the best pie but that didn't matter at all.

Her eyes focus on him again before she starts chuckling, "Okay, it was ... not good... but I would have eaten the whole thing anyway."

"Well, if you ever have the desire to bake again for someone, let me know. I'll help."

"Some times. Some times very much but I have made some good friends."

She sits up to look over at him a little more.

Madelyne isn't exactly sure what to say to that. He hasn't shown much curiosity here, or before that, either.
"Any other questions? I'll give you ones for free."

Madelyne reaches over and puts her cup on the tea service tray, "Well, at some point you have to adjust to the new routine. I've had... There have been some moments here that I would be loathe to lose."

Madelyne shakes her head, shifting her position on the porch swing so she can better look out toward the yard, "At some point, I have to accept these things and allow them to change me."

"Josef." She was tempted not to tell him, to try to poke at him but she isn't childish. And, well, he's likely going to come to the house, so it would be pointless.

Madelyne shakes her head and starts to stand up from the porch swing as if she's going to go somewhere. In the end, she, sits back down.
"Me too."
