009 [Visual] Stir 'Fry' Crazy

"I'm bored. Bored bored bored bored BORED." Vala gesticulates wildly with her hands at the tablet screen infront of her. "So bored, that if something exciting doesn't happen soon - and by exciting I'd rather it wasn't of the 'life threatening we're going to mess with your physiology and or mental state' variety - I'm going to start taking hostages. Because quite frankly I'm starting to go stir fry crazy cooped up in this city."

The unadulterated and sudden display of frustration bordering on aggressive is closely followed up by Vala literally headdesking (several times), before she sits back up, flicks her hair back dramatically and huffs and sighs at the screen.

"Who wants to take me on a date? It's my birthday!"

Cue Barnabas Collins, trying to figure out his tablet while sitting in one of the rooms inside the Sanctuary. Apparently "getting used to his surroundings" equals "not going outside potentially ever."

He's a little surprised at the video that comes up on his screen, but he watches it with the slightest bit of confusion.

"You don't think you're overreacting at all, Miss?" he asks.

He clicked his tongue. "No. I was referring to the fit you were having a moment ago."

Barnabas shifts in his seat and shakes his head. "No, I have not - I've only been here an extremely short time, in fact. I take it the opposite is the case with you." Oh. Drama queens. He's used to that. Might even be one himself.

This is Barnabas, trying not to comment or ask why she has to ask for dates. Because, yeah, this isn't 1795 or 1967, and concepts of "courtship" and such are subject to change. And he just has to deal with it.

"I'm sure others have been here that long, yet I haven't seen them showing that sort of attitude." Because he'd obviously have noticed if there was some mass headdesking epidemic going on here.

He shows a visible scolw. "Brilliant."

"That must be quite a talent for you, Miss," he remarks, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Overreacting, I mean, of course."

Proven it quite well, in fact. He's not sure why there's any need for it, but he forgets how quick to the punch he is to say that someone must die (!!!1!) at any given time. So.

"Hm." He quirks an eyebrow and doesn't say anything more, lest he gets himself into a challenge of sorts that he might regret.
